About the job

REPOST

Are you ready for an exciting position as an operating room nurse?

Do you dream of a workday where you can immerse yourself in your profession, make a difference for the patients and at the same time become part of an engaged team? In Operating Room Ward 2 you will have the opportunity to combine instrumental nursing with versatility, development and high flow – if that appeals to you, please read on!

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated nurse who is passionate about perioperative nursing and wants to make a difference – both for the patients and in our fantastic team.

Who are we?

At Operating Room Ward 2 we operate gynecological, obstetric and organ surgical patients around the clock. During daytime we handle both acute and planned operations, while during on-call we focus on acute tasks. We are known for our strong collaboration and prioritize a good patient pathway – always based on the Sygehus Lillebælt ROSE values: results, integrity, collaboration and excellence .

For us, excellent nursing is more than just a concept – it is at the core of everything we do. We create safe and meaningful patient pathways by placing presence, strong relationships and trust at the forefront. With a focus on person-centered care, high professionalism and a solid ethical approach, we work purposefully to make a difference for our patients. As part of our team you will have the opportunity to translate these values into practice – and help deliver surgical nursing where both quality and the patient's experience are at the center.

With us you will become part of a warm and inclusive group of 26 nurses and one service assistant – all with heart in the work and with a strong culture of collaboration and support. We lift as a team in daily operations and are always ready to help each other when challenges arise.

We have 7 operating rooms, including an emergency room, staffed around the clock. You will as part of us work with both long and short operations, advanced laparoscopic technology and robotic surgery – with opportunities for specialization and competence development.

What can you expect?

We offer a permanent position with a working time of 37 hours per week – or as desired. Your development and security with us is central, and we offer an onboarding period of 4-6 months, tailored to your competences and needs. With two fixed mentors by your side and ongoing conversations with both mentors and the chief nurse, we ensure you get the best start with us.

With us you can look forward to

  • A safe learning environment with a focus on quality and patient safety.
  • Competence development and division into teams with key personnel including hygiene, robotic surgery and patient transfer.
  • We believe that professional and personal development is one of the most important things – therefore you will have the opportunity to specialise in different teams and further develop your skills in an environment where learning never stops.
  • With us you will be part of a team that both allows high professionalism and good laughter in the lunch room. We look after each other and have created a work environment where well-being and good collaboration go hand in hand
  • A flat management structure, where collaboration with doctors, the anesthesia team and other departments is an important factor.

Who are you?

We are looking for a nurse who

  • Has several years of clinical experience – and preferably experience as an operating room nurse.
  • Has a good sense of humor and sees opportunities rather than limitations.
  • Thrives with independence, structure and attention to detail – even in pressured situations.
  • Has strong communication skills and can create reassurance in the short meeting with the patient.
  • Is interested in developing nursing with the patient at the center.
