About the job

Do you want to work with citizens with complex mental health difficulties – and use your nursing skills in an outgoing, coordinating role across housing services, the municipality and psychiatry?

Local Psychiatry Vejle is looking for a nurse for the Housing Offer Team in a permanent position of 37 hours per week starting 1 January 2027.

You will be employed by Local Psychiatry Vejle and have your fixed anchor in the housing offer team, where you become part of a small, closely collaborative team. A large part of your workday takes place at the housing services, where you have direct contact with the citizens and a coordinating role in their overall treatment course. At the same time, we work with flexible task solving across local psychiatry, and you can therefore also expect to take part in other tasks in LPV when operations call for it.

About the Housing Offer Team and Local Psychiatry Vejle

Local Psychiatry Vejle is part of the Psychiatric Department Vejle and is based in the Health House in Vejle. Here we work in multidisciplinary teams with treatment and support for adults with mental disorders.

The Housing Offer Team is a relatively new, specialized and outreach-focused service established to strengthen the psychiatric effort for citizens in housing offers with severe and complex mental illnesses. The target group is adults in housing offers with serious and often long-term mental illnesses, including personality-related problems with emotional instability, self-harm and frequent crises, psychotic disorders or other complex psychiatric conditions. There are often concomitant social burdens and periods of substance use, and many citizens have repeated contacts with psychiatric treatment.

As a nurse in the housing offer team you will meet citizens in their housing offers and work to create coherence, structure and clear boundaries in their pathways – in close collaboration with the staff at the housing facilities, the municipality and other units in psychiatry. The team is in operation, and we are in the process of consolidating and developing the effort further.

You will become part of a smaller, specialized team under ongoing development, where you will have the opportunity to influence both content and workflows in cooperation with the other teams in Local Psychiatry Vejle and external partners.

Your tasks

Patient-related tasks

Among other things, you will

  • coordinate and perform nursing interventions for citizens in housing offers, including medication administration as well as assessment and follow-up on psychiatric and somatic issues
  • have nursing discussions focused on stability, structure and support in daily life, where there are often many simultaneous challenges
  • provide psychoeducation and motivational support to citizens with personality-related problems, psychotic illness or other complex psychiatric conditions
  • collaborate with citizens on realistic daily-life goals and support for coping
  • contribute to the preparation and follow-up of treatment plans and crisis/safety plans
  • assess the need for changed intensity of the effort, including closer follow-up, involvement of other treatment offers or admission to inpatient care.

Intersectoral collaboration and coordination

An important part of your task is to

  • work closely with housing offers, municipal actors and any addiction treatment services
  • participate in meetings with housing offers and the municipality about efforts, task distribution and forward-looking plans
  • contribute to coherent pathways across sectors – for example transitions between housing offers, psychiatry and other services
  • assist in planning and participating in networking meetings with relevant actors and any relatives when the citizen has given consent thereto.

Development and quality

You will also need to

  • help develop and adjust workflows in the Housing Offer Team
  • contribute to joint registration practices as well as ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the effort
  • participate in professional development through theme days, supervision and cross-disciplinary sparring.

If needed, you will be able to take on other clinical tasks in Local Psychiatry Vejle when operations require it.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • is a trained nurse – preferably with experience from psychiatry and/or social psychiatry
  • has an interest in working with citizens with personality-related problems, psychotic illness and other complex mental health difficulties
  • thrives in working in the citizens’ local environment and across sectors – and can see themselves in an outgoing, coordinating role
  • can create structure and security in pathways, also when citizens are emotionally unstable and there are many simultaneous challenges
  • has good collaboration skills, can work independently and is comfortable joining a team under ongoing development
  • has a driving license and is comfortable driving in company cars.

Personally we value that you are calm, clear and flexible in your contact with citizens, and that you contribute to a good working environment – even when tasks are complex and require close coordination with many actors.

We offer

  • an engaged multidisciplinary environment in Local Psychiatry Vejle
  • a relatively new Housing Offer Team in ongoing development, where you have the opportunity to influence task solving
  • structured introduction and the possibility of mentor support
  • professional development through theme days, supervision and cross-disciplinary sparring
  • a working environment where we focus on both professional quality and well-being.

The position is initially 37 hours per week. In special cases, lower hours can be discussed in relation to the task solution.
