About the job

Are you our new nurse in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry South Denmark, Ambulatory Care in Esbjerg?

We are seeking a nurse who can become part of the treatment team in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Ambulatory Care in Esbjerg. Do you have experience working with children and adolescents or within the psychiatric field? Are you good at building solid relationships quickly and contributing to constructive solutions, then you might be the one we are looking for

We are looking for 2 nurses for a permanent position of 37 hours per week starting 1/12/2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

The Ambulatory Care in Esbjerg has about 70 staff members working across disciplines in age-differentiated teams. You will therefore work across diagnoses with evaluation and treatment for either children or adolescents. As a clinician you will work closely with other professional groups such as psychologists, social workers, doctors and secretaries. In the ambulatory care, we work with evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents aged 4-17 years.

As a nurse you are part of both evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. There is a lot of independence, but also teamwork, so that you always have the opportunity to consult with and learn from your colleagues. We have a caring approach to both the families we work with and colleagues.

Regular supervision of the staff group is provided. In the introductory program you will have a fixed mentor attached to you.

You are a trained nurse and preferably have experience with the psychiatric specialty and/or working with children.

About you

  • You are engaged, proactive and have an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Willingness for personal and professional development
  • Experience with network work and prioritizing it in daily life
  • Sees interdisciplinarity as an advantage and an important supplement to your own professionalism, whereby collaboration becomes a natural part of everyday life
  • Can work independently in a busy daily life, where it is important to maintain an overview and structure your own tasks

Upcoming responsibilities

  • Join the interdisciplinary collaboration as the primary clinician for assigned ambulatory patients, where the task includes conducting clarifying conversations/anamneses with patient and possibly parents, as well as presenting and discussing your own cases at team conferences.
  • Conduct conversations and treatment/follow-up in relevant cases
  • Manage medication checks, including for children/adolescents with ADHD
  • Present cases at collaboration conferences with school, PPR, caseworker in the municipality and other relevant partners
  • Work based on team collaboration and with reference to the responsible treating physician, where you, together with the nearest colleagues, solve a number of independent treatment tasks.
  • Work with involvement of the patient and parents or other relevant network
  • Document in the electronic patient journal (EPJ) for your own patients

We offer

  • A varied daily life with exciting and meaningful tasks.
  • Thorough introduction and training, tailored to your needs
  • Close collegial monofield and cross-disciplinary sparring, as well as supervision opportunities
  • Influence on working hours within the ambulatory’s opening hours – with a focus on balancing work and private life.
  • A good working environment where we work closely together and help each other.
  • Continual focus on high professional standards and professional development.
