About the job

Do you want to be part of an evolving multidisciplinary work environment and have a varied daily life with good colleagues, where we together focus on professional development with the patient at the center and a good working environment?

Acute Care Unit Aalborg is seeking nurses for permanent positions and maternity leave replacements.

Acute Care Unit Aalborg has 23 beds mainly for geriatric patients with acute deterioration of known, chronic, somatic diseases. The patients are physician-referred and come either directly from their own home or from the hospital. We observe, stabilize, and assess the need for treatment and care in close collaboration with the responsible physician.

As a nurse at Acute Care Unit Aalborg you provide holistic nursing, where you personally handle all tasks for the patients and conduct observations and treatment of elderly, fragile patients, and you play a central role in leading and coordinating the interventions around the individual patient with a rehabilitative approach in close collaboration with your colleagues, consisting of nurses, social and health care assistants, as well as occupational and physical therapists.

Acute Care Unit Aalborg is part of the “Unit for close health care services,” where there is close collaboration with the housing for the elderly as well as Citizens’ fixed teams. In addition, there is extensive cross-sector cooperation with the geriatric department at Aalborg University Hospital, where we have earmarked beds for geriatric patients who come for assessment and treatment with daily rounds by a geriatric physician.

Close Health Care Services is in the midst of exciting changes, and with the health reform in 2027, the acute beds at Acute Care Unit Aalborg will become healthcare and care beds . This makes it even more interesting to be with us right now.
