About the job

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Apply for this job

Take responsibility for the finances, get close to the operations and help develop the business.

Kran Elektro is seeking a Chief Financial Officer , who has a solid accounting foundation, takes initiative and actively uses the numbers. You have responsibility for the financial function and are a close sparring partner for the director Per Christiansen and your colleagues in the organization.

You have a broad role with both daily financial management, reporting and development of processes and IT systems. Here there is a need for a chief financial officer who thoroughly understands the business, creates overview and follows up on tasks to the finish.

You ensure that the accounts are fair, the reporting is timely, and the daily finances are under control. You work both with colleagues and actively take part in the tasks yourself.

You develop the finance function so that it gives management and the organization a better basis for making decisions. You investigate what lies behind the numbers and create insight into earnings, costs and capital tied up. This includes projects, leasing, service, workshop, warehouse and utilization of materials.

When you see deviations or an opportunity for improvement, you engage in dialogue with the responsible colleagues. You contribute with analyses and concrete proposals and follow up whether the changes have the desired effect.

You share responsibility in developing the company’s finance and IT systems. The system choice is still open, and you have the opportunity to influence the solution from the beginning. You identify the needs in the business and collaborate with colleagues and suppliers on solutions that create coherence between finance, projects, inventory and material management. You have an eye for making sure the systems work in everyday use, and that the investments match the value they create.

Your key areas of responsibility are to

  • Ensure correct and timely period and year-end financial statements
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting with follow-up on results and variances
  • Handle liquidity management and collaboration with banks, auditors and other external parties
  • Follow up on project economics and rental agreements, including kalkulation, post-calculation and invoicing
  • Analyze earnings, asset utilization and capital binding in inventory and equipment
  • Contribute with decision basis for investments, financing and leasing
  • Improve financial and administrative workflows and actively participate in the selection and implementation of IT systems.

In collaboration with the managing director you contribute with both support and constructive challenge. You ask relevant questions, point out financial consequences and help qualify decisions about operations and development. A solid overview of the finances and operations also provides a good basis for contributing to development tasks across the organization.

You probably have a degree as an auditor and subsequently a relevant education such as HD(R), cand.merc.aud., cand.merc. in management accounting or equivalent. Ideally you have complemented your auditing background with experience from a finance function in a company.

You have solid experience as Chief Financial Officer, Finance Manager, financial lead, Senior Controller or similar. You can manage closing, reporting, budgets and liquidity management yourself and thrive with broad responsibility. You understand project economics and the connection between revenues, costs, invoicing and liquidity. Experience with leasing, service, workshop, warehouse or materials is an advantage. You do not need to know the crane industry, but you should be eager to learn it.

You are thorough, independent and reliable. When you enter into an agreement, you follow it through to the end. You keep an overview and delve into details when necessary. You stand by your professional assessments and dare to challenge, while listening to colleagues’ experience and knowledge. You communicate financial information in a language that others can understand and use, and you prioritize practical and economically sensible solutions.

You thrive in a down-to-earth organization with a direct tone, engagement and room for humor. You take your responsibility seriously and contribute to good collaboration in daily work.

Your daily base is at Kran Elektro on Lange Linie 53, 8464 Herskend. The position also involves collaboration and staying in Sjælland, particularly during the startup and implementation periods.
