Finance Consultants for the Culture and Administration Area in Frederiksberg Municipality

We are seeking two engaged and skilled financial consultants for the Finance Department, one for the Culture and Leisure Department and one to provide financial support to the municipality's staff functions (Shared Staff).

Both positions involve close collaboration with managers and departments on budgeting, financial follow-up, and financial advisory. At the same time, they offer the opportunity to work closely with the decision-making processes in an organization where the finance function plays a central role.

About the positions

You will become a permanent financial consultant for either the Culture and Leisure Department or the municipality's staff functions and will be responsible for the financial support of your area.

Common to both positions is that you will, among other things,

• Prepare budgets, financial follow-ups, and final accounts
• Advise managers on financial dispositions and support decision-making bases
• Further develop management tools and financial analyses
• Plan and conduct financial meetings with budget-holding managers
• Work systematically and be able to follow up on agreements and create overview
• Collaborate closely with managers, professional consultants, and colleagues on department finances

Although you will have your primary focus on either Culture and Leisure or the staff functions, you will also be part of a strong professional community in the Finance Department. We work to strengthen cross-department collaboration through buddy systems, shared quality assurance, and sparring on tasks and deliverables. About Culture and Leisure

The area has strong political attention and close contact with citizens of all ages. The professional area is characterized by many earmarked allocations and fixed grants, combined with increasing demand from citizens for culture and leisure offerings. The position requires regular follow-up with employees in the Culture and Leisure Department and the ability to explain finances to profiles without an economics background.

About the staff functions

The staff functions support the entire organization and work across the municipality's areas of expertise. As a financial consultant, you will be the financial sparring partner for department heads and staff within, among other things, cross-cutting administrative areas such as HR, Citizens' Services, legal assistance, etc. The position provides a broad insight into the municipality's overall economy and an opportunity to work with cross-cutting issues that impact the entire organization.

• have a relevant educational background in economics, social sciences, administration, or similar. Experience with municipal finances is an advantage but not a requirement. We also welcome recent graduates with an interest in public economics.

About the team and the organization

Finance Unit for BKM and Shared Staff is one of eight teams in the Department of Finance and Procurement, consisting of about 100 employees in total. Together, we support the municipality's administrations and institutions with budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and bookkeeping. You will normally be placed in one of the department's four budget units, which consist of eight financial consultants, a professional coordinator, and a unit manager whom you report to.

The unit's primary task is related to budgeting and follow-up and the role as a financial professional sparring partner for the budget-responsible leaders of the area. We place great emphasis on an informal work environment, good humor, and collegiality. In addition, we can offer flexible working hours.
