About the job

Would you like to help ensure strong financial management, high quality and an overview in a central finance office? And do you thrive in an environment with close collaboration with many stakeholders and a strong professional shared foundation? Then you may be the employee we are looking for.

The Assessment Authority handles all matters concerning property assessment and taxation of properties. The agency's task is to prepare more accurate and transparent public assessments of land and properties and ensure the correct payment of tax based on these.

You will become part of a finance office with 14 employees, which among other things is responsible for ensuring qualified and accurate accounting and financial management, the budget process, as well as the preparation of cross-administrative analyses and financial analyses for the entire agency. The finance office collaborates across tasks, which can, depending on qualifications and wishes, give employees a broad contact with good development opportunities within the office's duties.

About the task

You will work together with engaged colleagues with many different professional backgrounds, just as close contact with relevant stakeholders (project managers, office managers, undersecretaries, etc.) will be a natural part of your everyday life. You should be eager to give your very best, ensure high quality, be curious and bring your expertise to relevant issues.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will, in collaboration with your colleagues, be responsible for:

  • Monthly and quarterly budget follow-up of the agency's payroll and other operating costs
  • Ongoing controlling, including performing checks in the accounting area
  • Working with procurement for the agency and helping the agency's leaders and employees understand the processes and the regulatory framework in the area

You do not need to be able to do everything from day one. We provide a thorough introduction program and good sparring from your colleagues, so you quickly feel well prepared for the tasks. But it is also important that you dare and want to take responsibility for the tasks you are given and follow them all the way to the goal.

About you

You have completed a relevant education, cand.merc., cand.scient.pol., cand.oecon., HD, professional bachelor or similar, and have relevant professional experience. It would be advantageous if you have experience from a ministry or a larger agency – and thus know the quality requirements related to financial work. It would further be advantageous to have a strong professional competence in state financial management – or a great interest in it.

We expect you to take responsibility for the task-solving and the process, and to ensure ongoing focus on creating quality, improvements and seeing new solution possibilities.

You see value in quality in the core tasks and are driven to ensure stable operations. You have an understanding of civil service virtues and of acting in a political system. You are good at building relationships and are eager to work closely with business offices and other stakeholders so that we can deliver business-oriented accounting and financial management. You should also be keen to support the good culture, good collaboration and good solutions.

Finally, you should be eager to work in a changing daily life, where prioritization of tasks can change quickly. You must be able to handle short deadlines and be flexible in your working arrangement, and your structured approach is crucial to meeting sharp and short deadlines.

To thrive and succeed in the role, it is important that you

  • Have strong collaboration skills and understand that our work and success are based on a team effort
  • Take responsibility for the task solving and the process and probe along the way and can handle short deadlines
  • Are analytically strong and can contribute to the development of the overall financial support
  • Are sharp in written communication and generally can communicate and present numbers and data in a way that the recipient understands them and can use them as a basis for governance.
  • Are strong in Microsoft Office – especially Excel and are quick to acquire system knowledge (SAP and similar)

Contact and employment terms

Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis, but no later than week 48, and the second interview no later than week 49.

A logic and personality test may be included in the recruitment process. Prior to employment, references and a criminal record check will be obtained.

Start date as soon as possible and no later than 1 January 2027.

You will be employed under the state collective agreement for academics (AC). The appointment will be in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with related institutions. Your workplace will be Ny Østergade 11, 4000 Roskilde.
