About the job

Would you play a key role in the implementation of the agency's new ERP system while ensuring strong, stable operations in the accounting area? We are looking for an analytically strong finance employee who can bridge accounting, change processes, and business needs.

The Assessment Agency handles all matters concerning property valuation and taxation of properties. The agency's task is to prepare more accurate and transparent public assessments of land and properties and ensure correct payment of taxes based on these.

You will become part of an economics office with 14 employees who, among other things, are responsible for ensuring qualified and accurate accounting and financial management, as well as the preparation of cross-cutting administrative analyses and financial analyses for the entire agency. The finance office collaborates across tasks, and the tasks are solved in close cooperation with the agency's other offices, other agencies and central actors in the state sector. The office is also responsible for the agency's implementation of a new ERP system in the administration.

About the task

You will be working together with engaged colleagues with many different professional backgrounds, just as close contact with relevant stakeholders (project managers, office heads, undersecretaries, etc.) will be a natural part of your daily life. You should be keen to give your very best, be curious, and apply your expertise to relevant issues.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will, in collaboration with your colleagues, be responsible for:

  • Implementation of a new ERP system in the agency together with the project manager
  • Performing and participating in ongoing accounting management, controlling and budget follow-up
  • Preparing cross-cutting analyses across the agency with a basis in the economic perspective

About you

You have completed a relevant education, cand.merc., cand.scient.pol., cand.oecon., HD, or similar, and have relevant professional experience, including preferably experience with implementing new systems. It would be an advantage if you have experience from a ministry or a larger agency – and thus know the quality requirements in relation to accounting management. It would further be an advantage to have strong expertise in government financial management and knowledge of the shared digital solutions in the state.

We expect you to take responsibility for task execution and process, and you ensure ongoing focus on creating quality, improvements and identifying new solutions. You see value in quality in core tasks and are driven by ensuring stable operations. You have an understanding of public administration ethics and of operating in a political system. You are good at building relationships and eager to work closely with business offices and other stakeholders so we can deliver near-business accounting and financial management. You should also be willing to support the good culture, good collaboration and good solutions.

Finally, you should be willing to work in a dynamic everyday life where prioritization of tasks can change quickly. You must be able to meet short deadlines and be flexible in your work planning, and your structured approach is crucial to meeting tight and short deadlines.

To thrive and succeed in the position, it is important that you

  • Have strong collaboration skills and understand that our work and success are based on teamwork
  • Take responsibility for task execution and process and question yourself along the way and be able to handle short deadlines
  • Are collaborative and can contribute to the agency's overall financial support
  • Are sharp in written communication and generally able to communicate and present numbers and data in a way that the recipient understands them and can use them as the foundation for management
  • Are strong in Microsoft Office – especially Excel, and quickly gain system knowledge (SAP, Navision and similar)

Start as soon as possible and no later than February 1, 2027.
