About the job

We are seeking as of December 1, 2026 a new colleague for the ’Team Pension & Sick Care’. This team primarily handles cases concerning personal allowance, health allowance and extended health allowance, as well as cases of assistance for sick care under the provisions of the Aktivlov.

In the team there will be 3 colleagues and the intention is that you each have your own case load.

Even though you have your own case loads, we are very focused on helping each other in daily work when things get tight. You will therefore be part of a team where correct case processing, meeting deadlines and an excellent collaboration are highly prioritized.

You must be comfortable with citizen contact, both by phone and in person, as advice and guidance to citizens is also part of our daily work.

In the team there will be ample opportunity for daily sparring, and we hold weekly case meetings where, together with the department's professional coordinator, we discuss workflows and complex cases.

We continually focus on optimizing workflows and the way we do things. Therefore we also expect you to contribute positively to this and share your knowledge and experience.

Our expectations for you

We expect you to be engaged, proactive and to take your part of the responsibility for our success together.

We also expect that you have experience from the benefits/allowances area and that you are familiar with KP and preferably also KY.

You must be able to provide proper and dignified case processing, where the citizen is at the center.

You must be able to translate complex legislation into concrete and individual decisions. It is particularly important that you are skilled at expressing yourself both in writing and orally in a simple and easily understandable way.

We have close collaboration with the center's other departments and we know that we can only succeed through teamwork. Therefore we expect you to contribute positively to the good cooperation both in the department and across the entire center.

Your education

We emphasize that you have a relevant educational background within public administration. This could, for example, be a public administrative education, municipal economist (kommunom), social worker/mediator or a bachelor’s degree in public administration.

We offer

We offer meaningful work with good colleagues who value a positive work environment and look after one another.

You will be employed in an organization in ongoing development, which you can help shape the development of.

Salary is negotiated and set according to your qualifications.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Flexibility

We aim to be a flexible department that accommodates the individual employee's needs and life situation.

We have introduced flex Friday across the center. This means you can work Monday to Thursday only. Friday you can take off if you have earned hours for it. You can also work from home, or you can choose to come in to work at the office.

In addition to Friday there is also the possibility of working from home on one of the other days of the week, provided the operations permit it.

About the Benefits Department

The Benefits Department consists of 14 good colleagues distributed across 4 teams, including the Cash Assistance Team, the Control Team, the Flex- and Sick Pay Team and Team Pension & Sick Care. In addition, we have a housing-social worker, a professional coordinator and a department head.

We are all passionate about the benefits area and we value good well-being in the workplace.

Our core task is to succeed when both citizens and businesses experience a dignified case processing, where we support citizens' path to full or partial self-sufficiency with the economic safety net.

We are anchored in the Center for Social and Employment.
