We are looking for an engaged, presence-based and clear area manager who wishes to develop elderly care in a direction where professional quality, collaboration and job satisfaction go hand in hand. About Skanselyet Nursing Home

Skanselyet Nursing Home was established in 1997 and expanded in 2009. Today the nursing home comprises 80 apartments, including a ward for residents with dementia.

The apartments are spacious 2-room units with a living room, bedroom, entrance hall, kitchenette and bathroom. There is an opportunity for couples to live together.

Although Skanselyet physically consists of two buildings connected by a bridge, we see ourselves as one house with shared values and a common direction. Our motto is:

As area manager you will become part of a leadership team where we believe that "together we lead best" , and where professional development, collaboration and well-being are central focus areas.

You will have management responsibility for staff consisting of nurses, social and health care assistants, social and health helpers and unskilled workers in all shifts.

Your primary tasks

As area manager at Skanselyet you will have overall responsibility for the daily operation, professional development and personnel leadership.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

• Ensure high quality in care, assistance and rehabilitation based on residents' wishes and needs.
• Exercise professional leadership and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Manage personnel leadership, including recruitment, performance reviews, competence development and well-being.
• Contribute to a healthy and psychologically safe working environment.
• Ensure good communication, planning and collaboration within and across the house.
• Contribute to the implementation of strategies, work routines and development projects.
• Help ensure financial balance and responsible use of resources in the house.

Employment is governed by the prevailing collective agreement, and salary is negotiated with the relevant trade union.
