About the job

Do you want to help ensure a stable and efficient production at a brand new Danish factory?

We are seeking responsible and practically-minded operators for our small caliber production who will contribute to safe and efficient production through correct execution of production tasks, material handling and supplying of production lines.

You will become part of Nammo Denmark A/S in Elling, where quality, precision, safety and collaboration are essential. You will have an important role in daily production, where meticulousness and responsibility help ensure that production runs as planned.

Your role

You report to the Production Manager or the Working Production Supervisor and work with production tasks, material supply, internal transport and operation of production equipment within the areas you have been trained and approved for.

Your daily work includes, among other things, performing production tasks according to current instructions, ensuring correct handling and timely supply of materials and carrying out relevant quality checks and daily inspections. You must be able to respond to errors and deviations, report problems and collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure stable production.

Depending on your experience and competencies you will have the opportunity to work on several production lines. Initially we are seeking experienced operators with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience who can play a central role in building the production. You will receive thorough training on the production equipment and, in due course, contribute to training and introduction of new employees as well as knowledge sharing and continuous improvements.

Travel activity in connection with training

In the first months of employment you can expect considerable travel activity, as training and knowledge transfer will mainly take place at Nammo's sites in Sweden and Norway. The travels will ensure that you gain the necessary insight, training and experience to perform your role at Nammo Denmark A/S.

Your primary tasks

Production work and material supply

  • Perform production tasks according to current work instructions.
  • Supply production lines with the necessary materials.
  • Handle, transport and replenish materials correctly within your own competency level.
  • Follow established production methods and work rhythms.
  • Respond to delivery problems and inform the relevant manager or process owner.

Material handling and internal transport

  • Receive, register, label and handle materials according to current instructions.
  • Ensure correct inbound and outbound transport as well as storage of materials.
  • Operate forklift and other transport equipment when the necessary certificates and approvals are available.
  • Handle gunpowder and other materials according to current procedures and safety requirements.
  • Carry out allocated checks of relevant storage conditions according to current instructions.

Quality and deviation handling

  • Perform quality checks in accordance with current instructions.
  • Inspect materials and products within your own area of work.
  • Identify and report errors and quality deviations.
  • Ensure that deviating or blocked materials are handled according to applicable procedures.
  • Contribute to preventing recurring faults and production disruptions.

Machine operation and preventive maintenance

  • Operate production machines and equipment you have been trained and approved for.
  • Carry out allowed zero settings and recoveries after a shutdown.
  • Perform daily inspections and prescribed maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to abnormal operating conditions and report need for technical assistance.
  • Contribute to keeping equipment and work areas in good condition.

Safety, order and continuous improvements

  • Follow applicable work instructions, safety procedures and quality requirements.
  • Use prescribed personal protective equipment and safety gear.
  • Report risks, incidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions.
  • Stop own work if unsafe conditions arise or if there is a suspicion of quality problems.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Contribute with suggestions to improve safety, quality and productivity.

If you are experienced, you will also have the opportunity to work independently on several production lines, support problem solving and mentor less experienced colleagues within your documented competencies.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have experience from production or the manufacturing industry. A relevant vocational education in industry, production or a related area is an advantage, but practical experience and willingness to learn can also be a good starting point.

It is an advantage if you have experience with machine operation, material handling, internal transport, quality control or working according to fixed instructions. A forklift license is relevant if the position involves forklift driving.

You do not need to know everything from day one. The most important thing is that you take responsibility, follow instructions and are willing to develop your skills through training.

As a person you are

  • Responsible and meticulous – you perform your tasks correctly and follow the instructions.
  • Stable and engaged – you contribute to a well-functioning production.
  • Safety-conscious – you take responsibility for your own and your colleagues' safety.
  • Practically minded – you enjoy production work, machines and material handling.
  • Collaborative – you help your colleagues and contribute to a good working environment.
  • Flexible and eager to learn – you are willing to learn new tasks and work on multiple production lines.

You can communicate in Danish, both spoken and written, and have English skills that enable you to understand relevant technical instructions and documentation.

You must be prepared to undertake the necessary training and acquire the competencies and approvals required for your tasks. Tasks involving gunpowder and other explosive materials may only be performed after relevant training, approval and applicable instructions.

Why Nammo?

At Nammo Denmark you will have the opportunity to become part of the construction of a new Danish factory and a growing organization. You will be part of a production environment where your contribution matters to daily operations and where collaboration, quality and accountability are essential.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, be trained on relevant production lines and contribute to creating good workflows and a stable production.

Our values Dedication – Precision – Care reflect the way we work: We take responsibility, deliver quality and help each other to succeed.
