Organist with freedom and the opportunity to develop church music sought - re-advertised

The position is available for filling from 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible. The position averages 10 hours per week with the possibility of more hours depending on tasks.

Your tasks As organist, your primary duties will be to

• take responsibility for the musical accompaniment at services and church ceremonies
• participate as accompanist at selected events in the parish.

We view positively the establishment of a church choir and would like to support this. If you are interested in choir work, there are good opportunities to put your own imprint on the development of the position. There is the possibility of more hours if you can take on choir leadership, baby-singing or similar tasks.

The organ in Egernsund Church was built by Marcussen & Søn in 1966.

Practical information

You will be employed by Egernsund Parish Council, Sundgade 68, 6320 Egernsund.

There is a duty to render service at other employer authorities in the deanery in accordance with the agreements, which the parish council enters into or has entered into.

Salary and terms of employment

The position can be filled by applicants with different church music educations or those without a degree.

Church musician (Danish Church Musician Association)

Employment takes place under the Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10 and the organizational agreement for church musicians.

• The annual salary is agreed within the range of 333,747.51 DKK – 475,590.08 DKK (current prices).
• The position is subject to a duty of availability. The availability allowance amounts to 27,641.26 DKK annually.
• In addition, an OK24 allowance of 1,082.28 DKK annually is provided.
• Pension contributions amount to 18.4% and are paid to CO10 Pension in PFA.

Salary is set after negotiations between the parish council and the Danish Church Musician Association.

Organist with the qualification 'Church Musician with Organ and Choir Conducting' (formerly PO-organist)

Employment takes place under the agreement between the City, Rural and Church Ministry and CO10.

The salary follows the base salary system.

• Base level 1: 350,435.40 DKK
• Base level 2: 368,188.95 DKK

Placement is according to seniority.

The position is subject to a duty of availability. The availability allowance amounts to 29,665.65 DKK annually when serving at one church.

After local negotiation, qualification and functional allowances may be agreed. Pension contributions amount to 18.4% and are paid to CO10 Pension in PFA.

Salary is set after negotiations between the parish council and the Organist Association.

DOKS-organist

Organists with a church music bachelor or master degree are employed under the academic agreement and protocol for DOKS organists.

• Bachelor-educated: gross salary between 332,306.24 DKK and 417,156.38 DKK depending on seniority.
• Master-educated: gross salary between 363,168.71 DKK and 442,528.79 DKK depending on seniority.

The position is subject to a duty of availability. The availability allowance amounts to between 46,726.59 DKK and 72,572.63 DKK depending on seniority.

After local negotiation, qualification and functional allowances may be agreed. Pension contributions amount to 18.07% of base salary and 12.5% of the availability allowance. Pension contributions are paid to PFA Pension.

Salary is set after negotiations between the parish council and DOKS.

Civil servant organists

Current civil servant organists have the right to retain their civil service status when employed with direct transition. In that case, the classification of the position is made.
