About the job

We are looking for a creative and practical employee for our assembly workshop, 37 hours per week starting February 1, 2027.

Can you combine pedagogical work with creativity, development of products, and practical craftsmanship? And are you motivated by creating workflows where people with different prerequisites have the opportunity to contribute and succeed with concrete tasks? Then you may be the person we are looking for.

Værkstedshuset is a workplace for 30 citizens with reduced functional capacity and 7 staff. We have five smaller workshops, and we are now looking for an employee for our assembly workshop.

About the job

In the assembly workshop we work both with our own products and tasks for external companies.

We also want to develop the use of modern production technologies. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have experience with or interest in e.g. CNC milling and 3D printers and are willing to learn more.

Your task will include thinking creatively and creating new possibilities in close collaboration with residents and colleagues. You will help develop and manufacture handicraft and other products in various materials such as wood, paper, plastic and metal, and contribute to establishing and developing meaningful collaborations with external customers.

You must be able to create structure, systematic approaches and workflows that enable each resident to participate actively in production based on their own resources and competencies with a focus on quality, whether it is our own production or assembly tasks for external customers.

As a contact person you will also be responsible for targeted pedagogical work with the individual resident, including goals, development and documentation.

We place emphasis on you

  • have an educational background in pedagogy or another relevant professional background in crafts, design or similar
  • have the desire and ability to combine pedagogy with practical and creative work
  • think creatively both in relation to product development and pedagogical solutions
  • have a sense of how a work process can be subdivided, adapted and structured so that the individual resident can participate as independently as possible
  • have practical thinking and preferably experience with different materials such as wood, paper, plastic and metal
  • have experience with or interest in working with CNC milling machines, 3D printers and other digital production tools
  • have an appreciative and resource-oriented view of people and can collaborate with residents, colleagues and external partners
  • can work independently while actively contributing to the shared professional environment
  • can work in a structured way with residents’ pedagogical goals and document the work in writing.

We offer

  • a workplace where pedagogy, creativity and practical work go hand in hand
  • good opportunities to influence the development of the assembly workshop’s products and tasks
  • the opportunity to work with both our own products and tasks for external partners
  • training in the methods and approaches we use in daily work, including KRAP
  • close collegial collaboration with sparring and sharing of knowledge about residents, methods, products and workflows
  • a workplace where we all contribute to ensuring that residents feel they are a valuable part of a work community.

Salary and terms of employment.

The position is 37 hours per week or possibly fewer, starting February 1, 2027 or earlier if possible.

Working hours are Monday and Friday 8.30-15.00, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30-16.00. Wednesday until 17.30. There can be flexing in some periods as well as changed working hours for events and the like.

Salary and employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with SL.
