Full-time educator for Virring School and SFO

Would you like to help create good childhoods at Kastaniehuset – and can you handle a bit of glitter, laughter and hustle?

We are seeking a pedagogue for Virring School and after-school care (SFO) with commencement on 1 January 2027.

One of our valued colleagues has decided to retire. We respect that – but it also means we need a new colleague who wants to become part of Kastaniehuset and create a safe, fun and educational everyday life for the children in the 1st year and in the SFO. Here there is room for both professionalism, immersion, playful ideas and the days when you must be equipped with both patience, imagination and an extra pair of ears.

Who are we?

Kastaniehuset is part of the Village Scheme Virring with about 400 pupils at the school and around 150 children in the SFO from 0–3rd grade. So you are hardly going to be bored here!

We place emphasis on close cooperation between teachers and pedagogues, because we believe that children thrive best when there is coherence between school and leisure time.

With us there is room for play, good relationships, communities and activities that start from the children's interests. It can be anything from creative projects and wild play to the small moments where a child suddenly cracks a code, finds a friend or discovers that you actually can tidy up after yourself. We do not promise that the last happens every day.

For us it should be fun to be a child – and there should also be room for a laugh among the adults.

Who are you?

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who is passionate about children's well-being and development, and who wants to work both in the school and in the SFO.

We hope that you

• are professionally engaged and meet children, colleagues and parents with recognition, curiosity and respect
• wish to collaborate closely with the teachers on the children's learning, well-being and sense of community
• have good ideas for exciting activities in the SFO – and the willingness to implement them, even when the children suggest something completely different five minutes later
• are positive, stable and adaptable. The plan for the day is a good starting point, but children tend to come with their own ideas
• have humor and a good mood and can see the fun in everyday life – even when the peg boards misbehave, the balls fly, and someone has forgotten where their shoes are

You do not need to be able to perform magic, juggle or build a hut in record time. But if you can create good relationships, stay calm and meet the children with warmth and clarity, you are already well on your way.

You will become part of the year-group team around the 1st year, where collaboration with the teachers continues across the 2nd and 3rd year. Together you create a safe and developing learning environment with attention to both the community and the individual child.
