The position is 30-32 hours per week. There will be rotating day and evening shifts. You should expect to work every other weekend. You will participate on equal terms with other professional groups in everyday interventions and perform support-, care- and nursing tasks.

Welcome to your new workplace

Engbo-Kerteminde is located in beautiful surroundings on the edge of Kerteminde. Only a short drive from Odense or Nyborg.

We are part of Handicap Center Funen and are aimed at citizens with permanent physical and mental functional impairments and severe cognitive challenges. We have room for 18 residents, who live in their own apartments distributed across 3 houses.

We are a mixed group of social- and health care helpers, social- and health assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, care assistants and social pedagogues. We believe that the interdisciplinary composition of the staff creates the best solution for our interventions and provides the highest quality for the citizens.

We hold ongoing team and staff meetings, as well as supervision with an external KRAP supervisor.

In House C we work according to the following core task: to support the citizen's resources in safe surroundings with respect for self- and co-determination, so that the citizen experiences as much as possible to have a valuable and meaningful life in all life phases.

About the citizens

The citizens at Engbo Kerteminde, House C have permanent physical and mental functional impairments. The citizens require extensive help and support in daily life for all ADL tasks. The citizens have no verbal language, but they still communicate clearly through body language and facial expressions regarding how they feel and thrive. All citizens, except one, are immobile and sit in wheelchairs.

Three of the citizens are out of house for activity programs during daytime hours. Citizens are offered activities in the form of walks, bike rides, sensory stimulation through music and song, and television programs they enjoy.

The days in House C resemble each other as the citizens thrive with a clear structure in familiar and safe surroundings.

We currently have 1 single-person project in House C, around which there is another team during all the citizen's waking hours.

What we need

You are educated as a pedagogue

A pedagogue who wants and has flair for working with people with lasting and significant physical and mental challenges

A pedagogue who focuses on maintaining the citizens' competencies and who can see the 'big picture in the small things'

Someone ready to take responsibility for the residents' well-being and to adapt communication, behavior and demands to the individual resident.

Someone who has overview and can demonstrate confidence, control and that you have control of the situation

Someone who works loyally with regard to goals, sub-goals and agreements in the team

Someone who can think and act creatively to create the best solutions

Someone who can take responsibility for a good relationship - with citizens and colleagues

Someone who is trained as a clinical supervisor or who would like to become one.

Someone who has a driving license (B) and is willing to drive the center's cars/buses

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the collective agreement . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
