Educator for the kindergarten room

A dedicated staff group is seeking a pedagogue for Selskov Børnehus.

We are looking for a pedagogue for the kindergarten, where you will be in the group room with two other pedagogues and an assistant. The position is 37 hours per week with start February 1, 2027.

Selskov Børnehus is an integrated day-care provision that opened in March 2022. The building is arranged with a focus on physical learning environments and has capacity for 80 children, divided into two kindergarten groups and two toddler groups. We have a large, lovely playground.

You should want to be an active part of the staff group, and if you have an interest in motor skills and physical activities, that would be fantastic.

We offer exciting, challenging tasks in a workplace in development with room to contribute with curiosity and professional perspectives. We work purposefully with our pedagogical practice; the path to change and development starts with ourselves.

To winter we begin participation in a longer-term project ” Little children's perspectives as leverage for pedagogical development in daycare institutions .” We are one of four day-care services in the project with affiliated researchers, who will conduct fieldwork and also facilitate meetings throughout 2027 for staff and the manager. There is a kickoff meeting for the staff on November 30.

Your profile

• You must be a trained pedagogue
• You focus on the children and their relationships, and how we can support and develop them; your actions make a difference.
• You are able to see the children’s intentions behind their actions and can engage in conflict resolution without scolding.
• You have a high level of professional competence and can translate it into practice by taking an active part in the pedagogical work in the classroom and in the building
• You take responsibility for both your work with the children and for collaboration with your colleagues, e.g., ongoing sparring in the classroom.
• You should have the desire and courage to share your views and reflections with colleagues, parents, the manager and interdisciplinary partners.

You will be attached to one kindergarten room, but employment is in the whole house. Once a month we hold a staff meeting, once a year we hold a competence day, and 3-4 times a year we host events for parents outside normal working hours. Hillerød Municipality provides opportunities for courses, further education and professional communities.

The position is to be filled on February 1, 2027, and the application deadline is Monday, November 16.

Workplace will be Selskov Børnehus, but employment is with Hillerød Municipality. Employment is conditional on an approved child and criminal record check.
