Do you dream of spending a large part of your day outside in really beautiful natural surroundings with endless possibilities and the loveliest children?

We are currently looking for an educator for our outreach kindergarten Frilandshaven – and maybe it is you we are missing.

In our outreach kindergarten we have a huge natural plot which we explore daily and use to create exciting pedagogical activities with the children. We have both a playground and a house with good rooms, and we are surrounded by forest, a creek and fields.

With us you get some fantastic frameworks to give children a daily life full of outdoor experiences. We build fires, go on trips, explore the forest floor and are creative with everything we find. Occasionally we have themes for a longer period, which we dive into and create all sorts of activities from. Recently we, for example, had a Viking theme where the children made their own shield and Thor's hammer.

Our daily life in Frilandshaven

Every day the bus travels from our town house in Vanløse to the outreach location in Lille Skensved near Køge. The trip takes about 45 minutes and it is an important part of the children's everyday life – we sing, tell stories and talk with the children.

We work with small groups of children, which we call focus groups, where we do activities based on a focus area that the children in the group need to develop within.

As something new, we have started a trial with fixed preparation time, located in the opposite weeks of our staff meetings. In addition, there is generally great trust and freedom to plan the days, so everyone has time and opportunity to solve their tasks. As an employee in our outreach you also have a fixed day off every 2 weeks.

A little more about Drivhuset

We are an integrated institution, consisting of Byhaven on Floras Allé in Vanløse and Frilandshaven, which is located in Lille Skensved. In Byhaven we have four nursery groups and two kindergarten groups, and in Frilandshaven, where you will be employed, we have two kindergarten groups.

We are inspired by Marte Meo pedagogy. This means, for example, that we highlight what works well, affirm and mirror the children and have a focus on the children's communities. We are particularly proud of our many traditions, which we do a lot of – from Sankt Hans and Halloween to lantern festival and Christmas lunch. It makes everyday life magical and creates an extra good mood when we have special moments to look both forward to and back on.

Terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week and starting on January 1, 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local wage formation. In connection with the employment we obtain child and criminal records checks and take references.
