At Hillerød Day Treatment School we are seeking a pedagogue for our upper school team in the Store Dyrehave School department.

You will become part of a school that within the coming year will be brought together under new premises in Alsønderup, and which at the same time is preparing for a joint competence development program in neuroaffective development psychology in collaboration with Susan Hart.

Something special is happening at HDS right now

Within the coming year, the school's two departments will be united in Alsønderup in a newly renovated school with modern teaching environments and new outdoor areas.

At the same time, we are facing a joint competence development program for all staff in collaboration with Susan Hart.

The ambition is to strengthen our shared professional stance and create a clear link between competence development, supervision and the daily practice around the children.

Susan Hart and her colleagues are also expected to provide future supervision at the school, creating a coherent thread between education, supervision and daily work with the children.

Who are we?

Hillerød Day Treatment School is a day treatment and school provision for children and young people with social, emotional and developmental challenges.

You will be attached to our upper school group at Store Dyrehave School, where the student group is small, and where relationships, well-being and development are central to the pedagogical task.

Each team consists of about 10 students and 5 permanent adults. This provides opportunities for close collaboration, shared reflection and a strong focus on each individual student.

You will become part of a close and committed collaboration between teachers, educators, a psychologist and family therapists around the young people.

As a pedagogue you will have a central role in creating structure, safety and participation opportunities for the students in teaching, breaks and other activities.

You will also become the key contact person for 1-2 students and have an important role in collaboration with their families and networks.

We are ambitious on behalf of the young people, but we also believe that humor, helpfulness and strong collegial communities are important prerequisites for succeeding with the task.

We are looking for a pedagogue who

• is focused on the well-being, development and participation opportunities of children and young people
• can create strong relationships with young people, even when they have difficulties trusting adults
• can create clear, predictable frameworks and at the same time meet each student with flexibility and curiosity
• sees relationship work as a core task
• has an eye for the youths' social, emotional and personal development
• can work with motivation, identity and belief in one's own possibilities
• thrives in a close interdisciplinary collaboration
• can stay calm in conflicts and maintain the relationship, even when situations are difficult
• wish to be an active part of the school's ongoing development

Experience from the special education field is an advantage. However, the most important is that you are curious about the young people, the relationships and the interdisciplinary collaboration.

Practical information

Employment: Permanent full-time position with as soon as possible start date.

Salary: According to current collective agreement with BUPL plus allowances.
