Educator for Skanderborg Activity Center

The position is 37 hours per week. Upon request there is an opportunity for employment of a minimum of 34 hours per week.

Start date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

About Skanderborg Activity Center

Skanderborg Activity Center is part of Skanderborg Communities and offers daytime employment and social contact for adults with permanent reduced physical and/or mental function according to the Social Services Act §§ 103 and 104.

About 140 citizens use our offerings daily, distributed across two sites in Skanderborg and Ry. We work from a resource-focused and affirming approach, where the citizen is always at the center.

Everyday life includes activities such as creative workshop, canteen, outdoor team, bowling, mindfulness, swimming and music. As a sports-certified offer we actively work with movement joy as part of the pedagogical effort and citizens' well-being and quality of life.

Your tasks

• Plan and carry out activities together with the citizens.
• Support citizens' well-being, development and participation in communities.
• Assume the role of contact pedagogue and follow up on citizens' goals and development.
• Participate in meetings with citizens, relatives and other partners focusing on the citizen's wishes, goals and development opportunities.
• Contribute to documentation, professional sparring and joint task solving.
• Take co-responsibility for a professional collaboration to benefit citizens' well-being, development and participation.
• Work flexibly across our two sites in Skanderborg and Ry.

We work with ROR (recovery-oriented rehabilitation) and a strong resource focus. Based on the citizen's inner perspective, we start from the individual's wishes, hopes and dreams and support the citizen's resources and potentials. Our pedagogical practice is built on neuro-pedagogy, autism pedagogy and pedagogical sport, and we continually work with the implementation of LA2.

• Takes co-responsibility for both collaboration and the joint task solving.
• Meets citizens, relatives and colleagues with respect, recognition and curiosity.
• Thrives with working flexibly across our two sites and teams.
• Has a category B driving license.

Practical information

The working hours are primarily between 8:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. In addition, staff meetings are held every other Tuesday until 17:00. There is fixed holiday closure during the industrial holiday as well as between Christmas and New Year.
