About the job

Do you want to use your pedagogical expertise to create strong communities, opportunities for participation, and good experiences for children both at school and in leisure time?

At Fællesskolen Nustrup Sommersted you’ll have a varied workday in a green rural town school, where relationships, outdoor life and a close collaboration between school and SFO are a natural part of everyday life.

The position is on average 25 hours per week with about 16 hours in the SFO and nine hours at the school. We would like to fill the position no later than December 1, 2026.

A cohesive life for children

The school has students from grades 0-6, and the SFO has children from ages 0-3. We work to create a cohesive day where school and SFO complement each other, and where all children feel that they belong.

At the school you will be part of our age-integrated learning environments and you will collaborate with the teachers to create good opportunities for participation for all children. In the SFO you will help plan and carry out both free and adult-initiated activities indoors and outdoors.

Your tasks

You should, among other things

  • actively participate in teaching together with teachers and other colleagues
  • support children's academic, social and personal participation
  • plan and implement activities in the SFO
  • use nature and outdoor space in play, learning and movement
  • create activities such as campfires, shelter-building, creative projects and movement
  • contribute to the coherence between the child’s school and SFO day
  • collaborate openly and respectfully with the parents
  • actively participate in professional and collegial collaboration.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are trained as a pedagogue and are eager to work in both school and SFO.

We place particular emphasis on the fact that you

  • have strong relational competencies
  • are focused on children's well-being, development and participation in communities
  • can take initiative and create activities together with children and colleagues
  • are motivated to actively use nature in the pedagogical work
  • meet children, parents and colleagues with curiosity, respect and an appreciative approach
  • contribute to a culture where we speak openly about our practice and learn from both what works and what is challenging.

It is an advantage if you have experience from school, SFO or nature and outdoor education, but it is not a prerequisite.

What you get with us

As our colleague you will receive

  • a varied role across school and SFO
  • the opportunity to influence your pedagogical touch on activities and learning environments
  • a close collaboration with engaged colleagues
  • wonderful children and active parental cooperation
  • a green profile with room for outdoor life, play and movement
  • a workplace with proximity, open communication and room for learning.

Ambition, results, community and dialogue are the values of Haderslev Municipality. With us they come to life in the collaboration to create good childhoods.
