Are you passionate about making a difference for children with a lot of potential and many different challenges? Would you like to be involved in creating a solid foundation and good conditions for students' learning and well-being on our X-track - then you are the candidate we are looking for, and we look forward to receiving your application.

We are currently seeking an initiative-driven pedagogue for our X-track, where teaching and pedagogical activities are based on structure, predictability, recognition and close guidance. The students on the X-track all have relational and emotional challenges, which are often combined with attention disorders as well as academic and learning difficulties. Brief about the school

Valdemarskolen is a highly specialized holistic school, where we teach about 260 wonderful students from kindergarten to and including the tenth grade.

Our pupils have difficulties and wide-ranging disturbances in one or more of the following areas: attention, communication, motor skills or perception. All difficulties have a character that requires specially considerate special education.

Pedagogues at Valdemarskolen are indispensable to the students' daily life and a major part of the school's professional environment. It is important for us that you are able to reflect on your own practice, adjust expectations and goals together with others, and are ready to receive feedback and sparring. We have a strong wish that you:

• are a trained pedagogue and have experience with special educational tasks
• have a reflective and flexible approach to pedagogical work and are strong on structure and scaffolding
• have an interest in play and in supporting teaching
• can create learning motivation and predictability for all our students
• can set boundaries and create and follow structure and timetable
• are comfortable with the fact that some children/young people may react markedly differently at times than their peers in mainstream education
• are clear and explicit in your communication and have an eye for the individual child’s potentials
• can see the beauty in the imperfect and set and maintain appropriate demands
• can contribute constructively and positively to collaboration with your colleagues and your management and are eager to share the tasks
• have a desire to work across disciplines and actively participate in a close team and parent collaboration
• are mentally robust and focused on handling professional discomfort in the best possible way

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A criminal background check and a children's records check will be obtained.

Working hours are arranged on both teaching days and non-teaching days (school holidays) within the period 7:00 - 16:00, on Fridays within 7:00 - 14:45.
