Pedagogical worker with a practical approach

We are looking for a committed and relationship-strong pedagogical staff member who wants to create good experiences, communities and relationships through practical and creative activities.

With us, the job is first and foremost about being with the children and the young people. We believe that through activities and joint projects you can create strong relationships, development and good communities.

Maybe you enjoy building, painting, making creative projects, working with wood, repairing a bicycle, making things from recycled materials or come up with something completely different. The most important thing is not what the activity is – but that you want to do it together with the children.

You will become an important adult in the children's everyday life and as a pedagogical staff member you will become part of our pedagogical team and will have an active role in everyday life with the children and the young people.

You should help create a daily life where the children experience that they can do something, contribute something and be part of a community.

The practical and creative activities will be a tool to create contact, presence and good conversations. It could be when you build something together, undertake a creative project, work in the workshop or come up with a new project that the children themselves want to be a part of.

Therefore you do not need to be a trained pedagogue or craftsman. The most important thing is that you want to use your practical skills pedagogically and can see the possibilities in creating something together with the children.

Your tasks can include

• To plan and carry out creative, practical and craft activities with children and young people
• To base activities on the children's interests and ideas and create activities they want to participate in
• To be present and engaged in the children's everyday lives
• To create good relations through activities and shared experiences
• To support the development, well-being and communities of children and young people
• To be a safe, clear and engaged adult
• To collaborate with the other pedagogical staff about the children and the pedagogical everyday life
• To help develop new activities and projects together with the children and colleagues

Salary and employment terms

Workplace: Middelfart Youth School

Hours: 30 hours

Start date: 1.11.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salary placement is according to the collective agreement for pedagogues at day care institutions, school leisure services, clubs etc., our pre-agreements and any individual allowances based on special competencies, knowledge or experience.

The position's salary range as pedagogue will be from 26,361.69 DKK and up to 30,371.54 DKK, depending on the candidate's seniority, further education and personal competences.

The position's salary range as untrained club assistant will be from 21,557.16 DKK and up to 22,266.21 DKK, depending on the candidate's seniority, further education and personal competences.

Salary range is monthly pay excluding pension.
