About the job

Do you want to make a difference for people with complex support needs and help create safety, development and greater independence in daily life?

Here you have the opportunity to work purposefully with pedagogical development in a fixed team around a resident who needs close and individualized support. Together with your colleagues, you will create a structured and predictable everyday life, where relationships, care and professional methods are the foundation for the resident's well-being and development.

You will become part of a small, stable team where you collaborate to translate pedagogical strategies into practice. The work requires presence, patience and the ability to stay calm – even when situations become complex or do not develop as expected. In return, you will have the opportunity to closely follow the resident's development and experience how even small progress can make a big difference.

You work 2:1 and in long shifts with long in-shifts (a mix of 24- and 14-hour shifts). This typically means 7-9 shifts on duty per month and gives you the opportunity to create continuity and depth in the pedagogical work.

You can expect

  • Accessible management with a focus on professional sparring and daily support.
  • Team meetings every other week, where you share experiences and develop your shared pedagogical practice.
  • External supervision approximately every sixth week with the opportunity to reflect on professional challenges and your own practice.
  • Opportunity to develop your professional and personal competencies, including through relevant continuing education.
  • Contractual salary, pension and the possibility of health insurance.

We expect that you have

  • A relevant pedagogical or social-professional education, e.g., as a pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, teacher, social worker, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Interest in or experience with autism, Low Arousal and mentalization, as well as an appreciative approach, where you meet the resident based on their individual prerequisites.
  • The ability to create secure relations, communicate clearly and adapt your approach to the resident's needs. You are curious about alternative communication, e.g. sign language, pictograms and visual support, and want to learn the methods used in practice.
  • A calm and reflective approach, so you can maintain an overview in pressured situations, prevent conflicts and support the resident with care and respect.
  • The ability to work in a structured way and create predictability in daily life, while also being able to adapt to the resident's needs.
  • Willingness and ability to support the resident in daily activities and the development of greater independence.
  • In one of the offerings, personal care is included, and you must therefore be prepared to handle these tasks and learn them if you have no experience with them.
  • A high degree of integrity and responsibility. You can set professionally justified boundaries, follow joint agreements and contribute constructively to collaboration in the team.
  • Willingness to take on complex pedagogical tasks and motivation to work in a development-oriented way – even when progress is small and results require time and persistence.
  • A desire for a workplace where days vary, and where both pedagogical tasks, practical tasks and documentation are a natural part of the job.
  • Physical stamina to participate in daily activities and walks of about 30-60 minutes.
  • Driver's license, category B.
