About the job

Pedagogical and health-care staff sought for the residential facility Fasanlunden (30-37 hours)

Would you like to help develop a new, modern residential facility and create a safe and meaningful everyday life for young adults with complex support needs?

Fasanlunden is a newly opened residential facility with modern and functional premises centrally located on Frederiksberg. Here, pedagogical and health-care staff work closely together to create the best conditions for adult residents with cognitive and multiple disabilities.

We are expanding the staff team step by step as new residents move in, and we are therefore looking for engaged colleagues who want to help shape the culture, collaboration and professional practice in a new facility with high ambitions.

The target group

At Fasanlunden we have established a specialized department for adults aged 18-40 with multiple disabilities. In August this year, we opened eight newly built homes on the ground floor of the building, designed specifically to meet the needs of the target group.

The department consists of

  • Eight modern homes
  • Shared kitchen and living area
  • Terrace and own garden
  • Relevant APV aids in all homes and common areas

We aim to create a safe, meaningful and professionally strong home for the residents through high professionalism, presence and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

Our professional approach

We work from a recovery-oriented approach with a focus on each resident’s hopes, wishes and dreams for their own life. Relationships, communication and professional reflection are the foundation of our efforts.

The pedagogical approach is holistic, and we work among other things with

  • Communication and relationship work
  • ADL training
  • Sensory stimulation
  • Structure and predictability in everyday life
  • Individual goals and development opportunities

As an employee you will be part of an interdisciplinary community where pedagogical and health-care perspectives are weighed equally. You will have opportunities for both professional deepening and shared learning, and relevant competence development and knowledge sharing are planned in the startup phase.

At the same time, you will play a central role in developing the pedagogical and health-care practices as well as organizing everyday life around the residents.

A good working environment is important to us

At Fasanlunden we believe that high professionalism and well-being go hand in hand. We work purposefully to create a working environment where everyone feels appreciated, included and safe.

We focus on psychological safety because we know that the best solutions arise when there is room to share ideas, ask questions and learn from both successes and challenges. We help each other, make each other look good and lift tasks together.

We want a work community where there is room for different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, and where everyone contributes to an inclusive environment. At the same time, we preserve the traditions that strengthen the community, and we create good experiences together with the residents through both small and large activities.

We want to be known as an employer where there is care for both the people we work for and the colleagues we work with.

We offer

With us you have the opportunity to become part of something new and make a real difference.

We offer

  • Opportunity to help build a new residential facility from the ground up
  • Influence on culture, workflows and professional methods
  • A strong interdisciplinary environment with high professionalism
  • Thorough introduction and individual onboarding
  • Ongoing professional sparring and competence development
  • A daily life characterized by variety, presence and meaning
  • An engaged collegial community with focus on collaboration, well-being and working environment

We imagine that you

  • Are educated as a pedagogue or have a health-care background
  • Have experience with the target group or strong motivation to work with it
  • Work professionally reflective, responsible and curious
  • Have a calm, patient and validating approach to the residents
  • Thrives in an organization under development where not all frameworks are finally defined
  • Can work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues
  • Want to actively contribute to the development of a stable, safe and developmental residential facility

Your main tasks

  • Contribute to residents’ well-being, development and quality of life
  • Work with Low Arousal and the dialog tool LA2U
  • Plan, implement and evaluate pedagogical and health-care interventions
  • Provide professional care and nursing with respect for residents’ self-determination and dignity
  • Support residents in relation to personal hygiene and nutrition
  • Handle medication management
  • Use alternative and supplementary communication, including sensory signals, facial expressions and body language
  • Actively contribute to professional sparring, reflection and method development
  • Document interventions and observations in relevant professional systems
