Pedagogical Assistants for Børnehuset Trylleskoven

We are looking for two pedagogical assistants as of January 1, 2027. The positions are 30-37 hours per week.

We are seeking you who want to play and be active with the children in an equal and present relationship. You must be passionate about being a co-creator of the best possible framework for our children.

About Trylleskoven Trylleskoven is a small house that houses a kindergarten group normed to 22 children, and a nursery group normed to 13 children. We live on a quiet suburban street in Ågerup near forest and fields, not far from the town square and the local library.

Our ambition to work from a common pedagogical approach, where the adults are aware of their own role and its significance in relation to the children's development and learning, requires curiosity and reflection. All children must be met by clear adults who have a warm, caring and appreciative approach, and who are capable of seeing the world from the child's perspective and set aside their own.

Our pedagogical approach is based on the belief that children do well if they can. This includes, among other things, that we adults must be ahead and adjust ourselves to the children; it is our responsibility to look inward and adjust our practice and/or approach if that is what is needed.

We expect you to be able and willing to work loyally within our pedagogical practice. Engagement, stability, flexibility, humor, and good collaboration skills are key words in this context.

Time for the core task - preparation time A high level of professional competence and pedagogical quality is essential to succeed with the political ambition to create strong communities for all children and young people, and that requires time and room for immersion, reflection and collaboration for the pedagogical staff. In Roskilde Municipality it is politically prioritized that all houses are allocated preparation time.

The preparation time should give staff the opportunity to work more systematically with the core task, and at the same time create better frameworks for professional development, well-being, job satisfaction and strong communities – without compromising children's time and staffing levels.
