Pedagogical Assistant at Børnehjørnet

Børnehjørnet is seeking a pedagogical assistant and substitutes for our kindergarten starting November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.

Børnehjørnet is seeking a pedagogical assistant of 37 hours per week, preferably with experience for our kindergarten department. You will as a rule be employed in the Kindergarten, but since we are a house, we expect that you can also work in our nursery.

Børnehjørnet is a municipal institution with room for 78 lively, happy and curious children, and 18 engaged pedagogical staff. We have both a nursery department and a kindergarten department.

In the pedagogical work we place emphasis on well-being, development, and learning. We strive to create a daily routine around the children that starts from the children’s curiosity about the world around them. We do this by following the children at eye level and seizing their initiatives and ideas, so that together we create a daily life that is challenging, playful, and exciting for the individual child and the community.

We place great emphasis on a close and positive collaboration with parents, and see the whole family as part of our institution.

Your tasks will include

• actively participating in the daily pedagogical practice in the Kindergarten.
• supporting the children’s well-being, development, and learning through play, routines and relationships
• participating in practical tasks such as meals, wardrobe and putting to bed
• collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a good working environment
• having dialogue with parents in everyday life.

We expect that you

• are eager to work with children and can meet them with calm, presence and clarity
• are responsible, stable and can work both independently and in a team
• have a positive and appreciative view of children
• are flexible with regard to working hours.
• can work across in the kindergarten, and the entire house.
