Then maybe you are the one we are looking for as our new maternity substitute in Kernehuset.

The position starts in January 2027 . The position is 37 hours per week or as agreed with the possibility of fewer hours.

Who are we?

Kernehuset – The House of Community Children is an integrated day care institution located close to the forest and the city’s multicenter. In the new year 2027 we are normed to 17 toddlers and 20 preschool children, and we work every day to create safe, developing and present environments for all children.

In Kernehuset we are on a shared journey, where we focus on creating a safe, present and developing early childhood life , where community, relationships and the child’s perspective are at the center.

We work with smaller groups of children because we experience that it creates calm, immersion and strong relationships. We focus on play, care, learning and development – and on meeting each child with recognition and curiosity.

• Want to work with the youngest children, 0-3 years
• Are prepared that Kernehuset is a shared house – and thus prepared to participate in the work across both toddler and preschool
• Are present, caring and engaged
• It is expected that you can work within the adopted municipal view of children
• Can see opportunities and follow the children's initiatives
• Want to be an active part of the children’s play and development
• Can work independently and take responsibility, but also value close collegial cooperation
• Are curious about your own and others’ pedagogical practice
• Want to contribute positively to our community throughout Kernehuset

Salary and terms of employment

Salary is set according to applicable collective agreement and principles for local salary formation. The concrete salary range will be disclosed before the interview.

Prior to employment, a child safety check will be obtained.

Practical information

• Application deadline: Thursday 19 November
• Interviews: Thursday 26 November
• Start date: 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter
• A child safety and criminal record check will be obtained before employment with consent.
