Pedagogical assistant wanted

As one of our skilled pedagogue assistants unfortunately leaves us, we now have a vacant position as a pedagogue assistant in our lovely children's house – currently in a toddler group.

We dream of finding someone who wishes to work 35-37 hours per week.

We have daily focus on relationships, interaction, and children's play, and we wish for a new colleague who, like us, wants to give children the best possible start in life.

Our work community is characterized by a strong collegial spirit with high professional standards, where the desire to develop practice together, and to approach each other with curiosity in daily life, is important.

Your main tasks

• To create a good and developing learning environment for all children
• To create presence for all children
• To have a varied week with a balance between activities in one's own room and activities across the house
• To build good and meaningful relationships with both children, parents and colleagues
• To use all the “free” opportunities that arise during the day to support and develop the individual child and the child groups
• To give play significance for the children's development opportunities
• To support shared responsibility for the entire child group’s well-being, development, learning and formation
• To collaborate on common goals for both the individual child and for child communities
• To support the pedagogical work also in connection with the day-to-day routine tasks, for example in connection with toilet visits, self-help and meals
• To support that there are participatory opportunities for children in vulnerable positions.

Your competences

• You actively contribute to a curious culture, and you have the courage to bring your own competences into play
• You have thought about working in a nursery with many collaboration partners
• You will actively participate in the ongoing development of practice with us
• You are relational in your approach to children and families
• You have an appreciative view of children
• You have the courage for us to talk about both what is easy and what we find more challenging
• You want to work with the entire target group, 0-5 years
• You can adapt when the day’s task becomes something else than planned
• You are prepared to work in a child- and adult-friendly environment
• You work systematically and become a supportive part of an ongoing process, where we are implementing a consistent structure with catalogs and annual wheels for example meetings and activities.

Who we are

The nursery is a 0-5 year institution with fantastic, spacious and bright physical facilities, located in a village environment, surrounded by lovely green areas. The nursery is located close to public transport in a direct line to both Frederikssund and Copenhagen.

The nursery is normed for 50 toddlers and 80 preschool children. The nursery is built around three sections, each housing both toddler and preschool. Each department is a base for a group of children and their families.

A bit about Måløv district.

The district consists of five nurseries, which together form one common district institution with collaboration across the nurseries. The district has about 530 children and about 120 staff as well as eight pedagogical leaders and one district leader.

Employment process and salary

The start date is 1 December 2026 or 1 January 2027.

We conduct interviews as we receive applications.

The position is initially 37 hours and is a permanent position.

Application deadline: 2 November 2026 .

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for Pedagogue Assistants and Pedagogical Assistants in the municipalities.

Appointment is made according to the principles of local salary formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position as a pedagogical assistant or pedagogue assistant is 27,766 DKK – 33,361 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is determined through negotiation between the employer and the trade union with negotiating rights on the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
