Then you might be the one we are looking for as our new maternity-leave substitute in Kernehuset.

The position starts in December 2026 and is a maternity-leave position.

The position is 37 hours per week or as agreed, with the possibility of fewer hours.

Who are we?

Kernehuset – The Community Children’s House is an integrated day-care institution located close to the forest and the town’s multicenter. In the new year 2027 we are normed to 17 nursery children and 20 kindergarten children, and we work every day to create safe, developing and present frameworks for all children.

In Kernehuset we are on a shared journey, where our focus is on creating a safe, present and developing child life , where community, relationships and the child’s perspective are at the center.

We work with smaller groups of children, because we experience that it creates calm, immersion and strong relationships. We focus on play, care, learning and development – and on meeting each child with affirmation and curiosity.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who

• Are trained educator or educational assistant
• Would like to work with the youngest children, 0-3 years
• It is expected that you can take responsibility as contact educator/assistant in the parental cooperation during conversations and meetings etc.
• It is expected that you can work within the adopted municipal view of children
• Can work independently and take responsibility, but also value close collegial cooperation
• Are present, caring and engaged
• Can see opportunities and follow the children’s initiatives
• Would like to be an active part of the children’s play and development
• Are curious about your own and others’ pedagogical practice
• Want to contribute positively to our community throughout Kernehuset

Salary and employment terms

Salary is set according to applicable collective agreement and principles for local wage formation. The concrete salary range will be announced prior to the interview.

Before employment, a child and criminal record check will be obtained with consent.
