About the job
Do you enjoy both desk work and working out in the field where citizens are? Do you want to collaborate with adult citizens with special needs, including socially vulnerable people, individuals with substance use issues, mental vulnerability or illness?
Then you are the one we need.
The Social Department is seeking, as of 1.12.26 or as soon as possible, a staff member for a permanent 37-hour position in the Unit for Prevention and Clarification.
In the Social Department we work from a recovery- and rehabilitation-oriented approach. This means that we collaborate with citizens from their perspective, wishes and goals.
We have a close and good cross-disciplinary collaboration with the municipality’s activity and social opportunities, voluntary offerings, relatives and external partners in the vulnerable and psychiatric area. We are focused on whether our efforts work, and we focus on the citizen’s progression toward achieving as much independence in daily life as possible.
Based on the principle of providing the least intrusive intervention, we have a special focus on supporting and preserving citizens’ contact to education, the labor market and activities in civil society. In addition, we focus on citizens being able to maintain or achieve an independent life in their own home.
About the Unit for Prevention and Clarification
You will become part of the Unit for Prevention and Clarification, which is one of the Social Department’s three authority teams. We administer the provisions of the Service Act in the specialized adult area and function as the Social Department’s “front door” for citizens over 30 years old. This means that all new inquiries come to us. We have a number of advisory and guidance programs that we implement to meet the inquiries.
Our advice and guidance programs range from advice and guidance, case processing, coordination, clarifying/preventive processes and to proactive, outreach work. We also have the opportunity to offer the citizen a time-limited social-pedagogical course under the Service Act § 82b. In addition, we make decisions on substance misuse treatment under the Service Act § 101.
Your tasks include
- Counseling and guidance of adult citizens with reduced physical or mental function and socially vulnerable individuals
- Engaging in a joint task solution, including coordination of the citizen’s case across the municipality
- Mapping according to Mapplan and making decisions on substance misuse treatment under Service Act § 101
- Applying the action plan under Service Act § 141 as a collaboration tool with the citizen
- Support and introduction to activity and social opportunities, voluntary offerings and other activities in civil society
- Establishing good collaborative relations with citizens and their relatives, psychiatry and other actors
- Managing our on-call duty phone about one day every other week.
We imagine that you
- are educated as a social worker, social mediator or have another relevant social science education
- preferably have experience within the specialized social domain for adults or other authority work
- are used to working in a holistic way based on the citizens’ own wishes and goals
- can work independently, both in the “here-and-now” when challenges arise and in the long haul – but also can ask for, and offer, professional sparring when needed
- are service-oriented, have a good sense of humor and good collaboration skills
- find energy in not having all the answers and continually seeking knowledge to become wiser and be able to help the citizen as best as possible.
We offer a workplace that focuses on engaging in an inclusive and effective collaboration with citizens. You will become part of an informal working environment with good colleagues with high professionalism and a strong commitment. Mutual flexibility and trust are key words for us, and although we are busy we prioritize time for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and helping each other in everyday life.
We have flexitime, group supervision, the possibility for remote work and a canteen as well as free fitness in the Town Hall’s fitness facilities. We work at Frederiksberg Town Hall, centrally in the capital and with easy access to the metro and bus.
The application deadline is 18.10.26 and interviews will be held on 21.10.26
