About the job

Would you like to help shape strong rehabilitation pathways close to the citizen's everyday life?

As a physiotherapist at the upcoming health and care spots in Svendborg, you will play an important role in citizens' rehabilitation journeys – and at the same time have the opportunity to help shape a new regional offering in Patient-Centered Health at Odense University Hospital.

About the health and care spots

From January 1, 2027, Patient-Centered Health at Odense University Hospital will take over the responsibility for the regional health and care spots in Svendborg.

The spots are aimed at citizens with a need for health professional interventions, treatment, care, and rehabilitation for a period. The citizens primarily come from a hospital department, and the goal for most is that they can return to their own home.

In Svendborg, a service with 16 spots is established, where occupational therapists and physiotherapists, nurses, and social and health care assistants work closely together. Our joint goal is to help the citizen return to their own life with dignity, efficient pathways, and high professional standards.

We believe rehabilitation is most successful when the citizen is an active participant, and when the disciplines are brought into play across sectors.

Your role as a physiotherapist

You will be a central part of the multidisciplinary team around the citizen.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • examine, assess, and support the citizen's functional ability and rehabilitation needs
  • plan and implement individualized physiotherapy interventions
  • work purposefully with mobility, functional ability, and training
  • contribute to cross-disciplinary assessments and joint plans for the citizen's pathway
  • collaborate with citizens, relatives, and relevant partners
  • document and follow up on the physiotherapy interventions
  • contribute to the development of professional practice and workflows.

We imagine you

Are a licensed physiotherapist and thrive in a daily life where professionalism, independence, and collaboration are important.

In addition, we hope you

  • have an overview of the citizen's entire pathway
  • thrive with complex and multifaceted issues
  • work in a structured way and can prioritize your tasks
  • actively contribute your expertise to the multidisciplinary collaboration
  • would like to help build a new workplace and a shared culture.

Experience with rehabilitation, geriatrics, complex citizen pathways, or cross-sector collaboration is an advantage but not a requirement.

With us you will

  • have a meaningful everyday life with varied citizen pathways
  • have opportunities for professional development and sparring
  • work closely with, among others, nurses, social and health care assistants, and occupational therapists
  • have the opportunity to influence the physiotherapy approach
  • work in a workplace focused on quality, coherence, and the citizen's needs.
