About the job
Do you want to strengthen an early and job-oriented effort, where sick-listed citizens get to see the possibilities of retaining or resuming attachment to the labour market?
About the job
We believe that citizens and companies can manage on their own, and that for most people it is good to keep their job during illness – with the right terms. As a professional coordinator, you will strengthen the professional quality in the sickness benefit effort and help ensure that sick-listed citizens receive an early, systematic and job-oriented follow-up.
You will support employees in translating legislation, health information and the workplace's possibilities into concrete plans for retention, partial return-to-work or gradual return to work. You will have a central role in creating a common professional direction, qualifying case discussions and ensuring that relevant support and compensation opportunities are actively used.
For example, § 56 agreements, assistive devices, mentor, personal assistance, company internships, insurance and health schemes or opportunities via collective agreement and pension.
Your main tasks
You will, among other things
- Translate legislation, policy decisions and political goals and strategies into clear professional practice in the sickness benefits effort
- Support employees in concrete case discussions, assessments and choices of the next professional steps
- Strengthen work with early intervention, job retention, partial return-to-work and gradual return to work with re-entry plans as the focal point
- Ensure active use of relevant support and compensation opportunities e.g. § 56 agreements, aids, personal assistance
- Contribute with high professional quality and good workflows and translate learning in the team from supervision, complaints and data into improvements of professional practice.
- Facilitate professional meetings, learning spaces and a common direction in the team
- Contribute to training, sparring and professional development of colleagues
- Apply digital solutions and artificial intelligence to strengthen quality and efficiency in the core task
Who are you?
- You are educated as a social worker or social facilitator or similar and have experience with the employment area and especially the sickness benefits legislation
- You naturally think in early intervention, retention, workplace dialogue and opportunities
- You can translate rules, health information, resources and accommodation considerations into realistic job-oriented solutions – and you know that the citizen does not necessarily have to be completely healthy to be able to work fully or partially with the right accommodations
- You are clear, relationally strong and can create followership through professionalism
- You are good at communicating, facilitating and creating a shared direction
- You are curious about IT, data and digital solutions as part of professional development
We offer
- An independent job where you can influence practice, collaboration and workflows
- A close collaboration with management and professional coordinators across the Center for Job and Education, but also across centers in the municipality.
- A position where you can combine legislation with development of a strong retention perspective
- A workplace focused on well-being, professionalism and good cooperation
- A workplace with professional and social events, an active employee club, health scheme and free access to a gym room.
Salary and employment terms
You will be employed in Job & Retention, where there are about 22 employees, two professional coordinators and a department head. The position is 37 hours per week with flexible working hours. There is as a rule fixed home work on Fridays. The appointment is made according to the applicable collective agreement and paid according to qualifications and Ny Løn. We have decided to revive the position and the application deadline is 25 October 2026. Interviews will be held on 28 October 2026.
