About the job

From empty premises to a base in full operation. From aircraft purchases to new aircraft in the air. From supplier quotes to maintenance agreements that hold. From moving boxes to a location that works from day one.

Growth requires more than more students. It requires new bases, aircraft that have been purchased and ready to fly, maintenance agreements that hold, and authorities that have said yes. These are the projects you will lead.

At GreyBird you lead the projects that make our growth possible, with direct reporting to our COO.

About GreyBird

GreyBird Pilot Academy is not just a pilot school - we are an international growth company in an industry that never stands still. We train the business pilots of the future.

Since 2013, GreyBird Pilot Academy has grown from Aarhus to seven bases in Europe – from Dublin in the west to Helsinki in the east. Our students fly under the Spanish sun and across European airspace. With over 40 flight instructors, 12 Tecnam aircraft and a further 13 new Tecnam aircraft on the way, more than 200 students are currently training to become professional pilots with us.

Here we work closely with ambitions — where safety, people, technology, operations and education must play together before the wheels leave the runway.

Regardless of whether your background is in aviation, marketing, education, tech or something completely different, you will become part of a professionally strong team with short decision paths and room to influence development. We turn the dream of the cockpit into a career - and you can help make the path there even better.

Your responsibility

You will be responsible for GreyBird’s operations projects, from when they are decided until they run in daily operation. It could be establishing a new base in Europe, purchasing aircraft, entering into maintenance agreements with external suppliers, or relocating a location. It could also involve process optimizations in isolated parts or across the entire value chain. You will work closely with operations, engineering and management. A project is only complete when it works for the instructors, the mechanics and the students.

You should

  • lead the establishment of new bases, with premises, suppliers, authorities contact and all the practical things that must be in place before operations can start
  • be responsible for projects such as purchasing aircraft, maintenance agreements with external suppliers and moving locations
  • manage timelines, budget, resources and risks and keep the COO updated along the way
  • find, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and follow up on the agreements
  • optimize processes, business procedures and develop analytical tools

In time it could also be you who builds GreyBird’s strategic procurement.

What you get

  • Projects you can see the results of: a new base, new aircraft and new agreements that work.
  • Direct reference to the COO and a short path from decision to action.
  • Opportunity to grow with the role and eventually build GreyBird’s strategic procurement.
  • Variation. The projects change, and some of them take you to our bases in Europe.
  • Opportunity to work across operations and the entire value chain

Who we are looking for

You like to make things happen. You have an eye for details in a contract and a schedule, but you constantly keep an eye on whether the solution works for the people who must use it. When something stalls, you take action yourself.

  • You have led projects with many stakeholders, preferably establishment, relocation or startup of a base or facility.
  • You have experience with procurement or supply chain and have negotiated and entered into supplier agreements, e.g., within facilities, capex or technical services.
  • You have a relevant higher education degree.
  • You have an operations mindset and think about how the solution works in daily use, not just how to deliver the project.
  • Experience from aviation or another technical industry is a plus.
  • You speak and write Danish and English. English is the working language across our bases. Other languages are a plus.

Workplace: Ny Lufthavnsvej 22, 8560 Kolind

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. If you have any clarifying questions, you are very welcome to call the COO Thomas Brams at 22 63 68 22 or write to [email protected] . Note that we only accept applications via the system.

We look forward to hearing from you.
