Project Manager

R&D Test Systems is seeking a Project Manager for Test Systems projects within the wind, marine, and aerospace industries.

Your role as Project Manager

As a project manager at R&D Test Systems, you will be the primary liaison between the customer and the cross-functional project team and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and with the agreed quality.

You work closely with customers, suppliers and our internal teams and create momentum throughout the project lifecycle. You manage risks and changes, monitor the economy and schedule, and ensure that the project stakeholders work toward the same goals.

With your technical understanding and strong project management and negotiation skills, you will find solutions that create value for both the customer and R&D Test Systems. You naturally take the lead in the cross-functional project teams, provide direction and ensure a clear distribution of responsibilities and tasks.

You will also be an important part of our continued development of the project organization, where you contribute with coaching, sparring and knowledge sharing across projects.

You report to our Director of Systems Solutions.

Your primary tasks

• Lead technically complex R&D Test Systems projects through the entire project lifecycle
• Ensure management of the project’s economy, schedule, quality and contractual obligations
• Negotiate contract terms, handle changes and maintain the ongoing dialogue with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Plan and follow up on project activities, resources and deliverables
• Lead, coordinate and motivate the cross-functional project team
• Contribute to the development of our project organization through sparring, coaching and knowledge sharing

We place emphasis on the following professional competences

• Relevant technical background with an advanced degree such as a BSc/MSc or equivalent. For example, Mechanical Engineer
• Solid technical experience with customer-specific plants, machines or similar engineering solutions
• Minimum 5 years of documented project management experience, preferably within larger technical systems or similarly complex projects with extensive cross-functionality
• Documented experience in leading cross-functional teams of multiple technical disciplines
• IPMA D certification or similar

You will work closely with colleagues across the organization, from sales to engineers and other project managers in the same role.

There may be travel days, and you can expect around 25 travel days per year.

You will work from R&D Test Systems' headquarters, located just north of Aarhus in Søften, Denmark.
