About the job

Do you want to help develop the future requirements for green and future-proof construction?

In the Danish Agency for Housing and Utilities, Office for Construction in Copenhagen, we translate political ambitions into concrete rules and solutions for Danish construction. We are seeking a project manager and generalist who will help develop the professional basis for political decisions in the construction field – and ensure that it can be used in practice and supports the green transition.

You will become part of a professionally strong office where we work closely together across disciplines. You will collaborate with colleagues with technical and other professional backgrounds, as well as with representatives from the construction industry. It requires that you can see connections, create momentum, and translate complex material into clear directions and solutions.

Your tasks

Your tasks range from project management and policy development to communication and ministerial support. You will have a daily routine where you must both keep an overview of larger processes and dive into complex professional material when necessary.

As a project manager and generalist, you will play a central role in developing new building regulations and the professional basis for political decisions. You will drive a number of larger projects, where you will, among other things, collect and translate professional and technical contributions from colleagues into overarching directions and cross-cutting efforts. You will also contribute to department and ministerial support, including through the preparation of responses to parliamentary questions and various types of notes.

We envisage that you

You take initiative, create momentum, and see your tasks through to the end. You may already have experience with project management, but the most important thing is that you have the desire and ability to drive processes and get different professional disciplines to work together.

Additionally, we emphasize that you

  • can work independently, efficiently and purposefully
  • is flexible and adaptable and can handle several tasks and processes at the same time
  • thinks innovatively, sees opportunities and is good at finding solutions together with your colleagues
  • can communicate clearly and precisely and translate complex and technical material into texts that are easy to understand
  • is curious and motivated by creating results together with and for others.

You have a relevant higher education (e.g., cand.scient.pol., cand.soc., cand.polyt., cand.mag., cand.scient. or similar). It is an advantage if you have experience from, for example, the central administration, a municipality or a relevant trade organization, but it is not required.

Why you should choose us

With us you will have the opportunity to work on issues that matter for the entire construction industry and for society as a whole. You will be close to the development of the rules and solutions,

You will become part of a strong professional and informal environment that will help shape the construction of the future. The days do not necessarily look the same, and there is room to shape both your tasks and the solutions we develop.

We place emphasis on professional development, sparring and flexibility, and you will have good opportunities to develop in line with the tasks.

About the Office for Construction

In the Office for Construction, we work on implementing political agreements and on developing and maintaining the technical rules for construction. We are, among other things, responsible for developing a new, holistic Building Regulations that supports society's needs and is understandable and usable by construction actors.

We solve our tasks with high professional standards, responsibility and opportunity to influence. At the same time, we prioritize sparring and collaboration across the office's teams.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a permanent full-time role with start date 1 January 2027.

You will be employed under the negotiated agreement for academics in the state, entered into between the Ministry of Finance and the academic organizations. Your job title will depend on your experience. The expected salary level will be communicated at a potential first interview and set based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including education, experience, competencies, and job responsibilities.
