Project Manager for the Construction and Projects Unit at Frederiksberg

We are busy in the Frederiksberg Municipality and are seeking an experienced project manager who will help manage our construction projects from idea to handover to operations.

As a project manager you collaborate with our specialist areas on projects in the municipality's own portfolio. You manage the process from the initial investigations to the finished project in close cooperation with consultants, contractors and internal and external stakeholders.

You will have close collaboration with users, the building case processing, urban development, the environmental department, operations and the rest of the administration. We are together on the core task: to deliver well-built projects on time, within budget and with quality. You can also expect professional sparring from your 14 colleagues and the manager of the Building and Projects Unit.

We have a focus on effective construction management, sustainability and safety. Therefore it is important that you take responsibility, think in holistic terms and have a good overview.

We expect that you

• have a strong construction-related background, e.g. as an architect, engineer or building constructor with 5-10 years of experience.
• have experience with project management and execution of construction, preferably from a client organization or client advisory
• can set the framework for a construction project and have experience with budgeting, financial and risk management.
• can manage a project process focusing on time, economy and quality
• can take the lead at the head of the table and fill the role of the client
• can collaborate in a structured way between the client, users and authorities
• have good negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral
• understand how to work in a politically governed organization
• contribute actively and positively to both the unit and the department

The Building and Projects Unit is part of Properties, Construction and Service, which has about 100 employees spread across three units: Property Service and Operations, City Hall Service and Building and Projects Unit.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of new pay. The position has flexitime.
