About the job
Are you a strong clinical psychologist who is motivated both by the treatment work and by developing the practice you are part of? Do you want to make a noticeable difference for traumatized refugees, and do you thrive at the intersection of treatment, research, development, and project work? Become part of a dedicated team at DIGNITY, working for refugees' dignity and recovery.
DIGNITY has since 1982 worked for a world free of torture and violence. We are a human rights and development organization, which also runs a research-based rehabilitation clinic. We prevent torture and violence, treat traumatized victims, and document serious human rights violations so that those responsible can be prosecuted.
About the position
The position is in the National Rehabilitation department, where we are 35 employees in total. Your primary task is psychological assessment and treatment of traumatized refugees arranged in close multidisciplinary collaboration between psychologists, doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers. In addition, you contribute to our ongoing development projects and to our research activities.
Your main responsibilities will be
- to conduct assessment and treatment pathways with traumatized refugees
- to engage in multidisciplinary collaboration in a holistic research and treatment environment
- actively contribute to qualifying our treatment interventions based on clinical experience and new professional knowledge
- to participate in development projects, teaching, and research-related activities across the department.
We offer you
- a job in a dynamic organization with a global outlook and a strong professional focus, where all activities are driven by the desire to make a positive difference for some of the world's most vulnerable people

- exciting and varied tasks in a very important function for DIGNITY’s operations and development
- competence development regarding the trauma treatment methods that we use.
Your profile and qualifications
We are seeking a psychologist who is both professionally strong and thrives in a diverse organization with a strong value base. You are motivated by clinical work and trauma treatment and are curious how your expertise and experience can contribute to the development of our overall effort. You thrive with a workday where treatment is the core task, and where development projects, teaching, cross-cutting collaboration, and research activities are also natural parts of the job.
Professional qualifications
We expect that you
- are a clinical psychologist (psychologist with practical training)
- have experience with psychotherapeutic treatment and assessment
- are interested in a practice where treatment, research and project work are closely intertwined.
Other qualifications
In addition you are
- collaboration-oriented both internally and externally
- initiative-driven, proactive and independent
- willing to work with different cultures and with the use of interpreters
- skilled at coordinating and juggling diverse tasks in a dynamic organization.
Terms of employment
You will become part of the National Rehabilitation department, and we hope that you can start with us on 1 January 2027.
Your place of employment is our main address at Bryggervangen 55, 2100 Kbh. Ø. You are expected to have a registered address in Denmark.
Your working time is 37 hours per week.
