Quality Consultant for Quality and Patient Safety, Lillebælt Hospital

Leading the EU project and our path to the next OECI accreditation

Will you lead one of the country's cancer centers to continue delivering quality at European top level – and at the same time help prepare the hospital for the situations we hope never occur?

Sygehus Lillebælt seeks a quality consultant who will take a project manager role in 2 important initiatives: You will lead the hospital's part of the EU project TEXMECS , where we develop and test training of the preparedness, and you will become the hospital's project manager for our OECI accreditation .

This is a position for someone who likes having many balls in the air, thrives at the interface between clinic, management and international partners – and who gains energy from seeing improvements become reality in daily practice.

Your tasks

Project manager for the EU project TEXMECS

TEXMECS is an EU Joint Action under HERA, the European Commission's unit for health preparedness. The project deals with medical countermeasures for CBRNE incidents. Together with European partners we work on, among other things, how hospitals best train their preparedness – so staff are ready when reality knocks on the door.

Sygehus Lillebælt is a pilot site in the project and leads one of the project's work packages. The project is underway, and you take over a role with established partners across Europe. As project manager you will be the hospital's outward face in the project and the driver internally. You shall among other things:

• lead one of the project's work packages in collaboration with one of the project's other partners
• plan, coordinate and follow up on the hospital's deliverables in the project
• be the link between project partners, the emergency organization and the clinical departments
• help develop, implement and evaluate training programs and drills
• ensure reporting, financial follow-up and dissemination of results

Travel activity may occur in connection with the project.

Project manager for the hospital's OECI accreditation

Sygehus Lillebælt is part of the European network of accredited cancer centers under OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes). The next accreditation visit is in February 2027, and we are in full swing preparing for it. We already know that even after the visit there will be areas we must monitor closely and improve on ahead of the next accreditation.

You will have a central role, where you shall among other things

• contribute to the accreditation visit in February 2027
• support the hospital's ongoing improvement work, where the recommendations from the visit are translated into action plans, and coordinate the follow-up toward the next accreditation
• collaborate with management, clinical departments and professionals across the hospital on the progress of the action plans
• plan the overall process toward the subsequent accreditation, where self-evaluation and documentation are central elements

As Quality Consultant in Quality and Patient Safety you will in addition contribute to the department's task execution, and help where our assistance is needed.

Who are you?

You have a social science, health professional or other relevant education. Preferably supplemented with further education in quality, leadership or project management.

In addition you have experience with

• project management, preferably in EU-funded projects, and can keep track of timelines, stakeholders, budgets and deliverables
• quality work and accreditation in healthcare, preferably according to international standards
• evaluation methods and can translate data from them into practice

And you

• communicate clearly and confidently in Danish and English, orally and in writing, and are used to conveying to clinicians, management and international partners
• build relationships and bring people along – including those who are busy
• are structured and maintain overview and mood when plans change

Quality and Patient Safety is a department at Sygehus Lillebælt, delivering consultancy services that support clinicians in putting the patient first. About the position

The position is a full-time role starting 1/1-27 and reporting to the Quality Manager. Workplace is Vejle and Kolding Hospitals.

In addition to starting salary, the salary may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications. There will also be a on-call allowance attached to the position.
