About the job

Would you like to help create a safe and well-functioning Recycling Station with high service for citizens and businesses, and where community is prioritized.

Gentofte Genbrugsstation is seeking two dedicated and responsible Recycling Guides who thrive in a varied workday, practical tasks and contact with many people. You will furthermore become a significant part of the green transition and agenda in Gentofte Municipality, as we take on a large responsibility to secure resources, promote prevention and ensure the highest degree of reuse and recycling.

You will become part of a team of 14 employees who help citizens and users with correct sorting and ensure the site is safe, tidy and well-functioning. Gentofte Recycling Station falls under the task area Waste and Recycling which is located at Gentofte Town Hall and has 15 employees, who will also become your colleagues.

Our primary tasks

  • Advise citizens and businesses on correct sorting
  • Provide visible, friendly and citizen-focused service at the entire Recycling Station
  • Receive training in prevention, correct handling of waste and understanding of materials
  • Keep the recycling station clean, tidy and presentable, including ongoing sweeping, tidying, lawn mowing and cleaning of the entire area

Working hours and shift pattern The work is organized as fixed shift work with rotating duties. Therefore, you must be able to work on weekdays as well as weekends (every 3rd weekend) and on public holidays according to the duty rota. The work is primarily outdoors, so you are expected to thrive in all kinds of weather.
