Become a technical service employee at Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality's two largest public schools

Do you enjoy a workday where you use your hands, your head and your sense of good service?

You will take a role in the daily operations at both schools, where you work on a rotating basis with the school's permanent Technical Service Manager, one week at a time.

You will become part of Team Schools, and have a varied daily routine with responsibility for operations, maintenance and practical tasks, so that both buildings, outdoor areas and technical installations function optimally.

The current technical service assistant has chosen to seek new challenges, and therefore we are now looking for a new colleague who thrives with practical tasks, good planning and close contact with many people.

Your tasks

Your main tasks will include, among others, to

• Carrying out lighter handyman tasks
• Carrying out practical tasks such as moving, setting up and taking down equipment
• Maintaining technical installations and inventory
• Caring for and maintaining the schools’ outdoor areas, including green spaces

You will have a daily routine with both planned and urgent tasks. Some tasks you know in advance, while others come in continuously via an app on your work phone. Therefore it is important that you can prioritise, plan and keep an overview, even when the day takes a new direction.

About you

A driving license is required.

• You thrive with both fixed routines and unforeseen tasks

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you

• Have experience with operation and maintenance of buildings or technical installations
• Have experience from a similar position

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement. Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is an opportunity for negotiation of an allowance. Before final employment, a criminal record certificate and a child safety certificate will be obtained.
