The Establishment- and Terrain Command delivers and develops the physical frameworks for the military operational units and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence. This includes everything from maintenance of buildings and areas, sleeping quarters for soldiers, desks for offices, cleaning and meals in the canteens.

About the position

You will become part of Etablissement Partner Element Karup, which consists of a manager who is responsible for four subject areas, each with its own leader in the respective fields of cleaning, administration, property service and engineering. We are about 80 dedicated employees who deliver establishment operation and facility management at Karup Air Station.

We are looking for four cleaning assistants for our cleaning department. You will perform daily cleaning according to a plan and specific instructions, and we expect you to participate actively in planning your own tasks. You will play a significant role in supporting the roughly 4,000 employees who work daily at Karup Air Station. Your results will not go unnoticed, as it is of great importance to everyone that buildings and facilities are usable.

The air station buildings are distributed across small teams, where you will be assigned to a team and receive thorough training from your colleagues. In case of absence or low staffing, help is provided to other teams, and there can be ongoing rosters to meet increased demand in other teams.

The cleaning department is located in Karup and Herning and consists of 1 service leader, 2 supervisors and 37 cleaning staff.

Your core tasks are

• Daily commercial cleaning
• Daily cleaning of different premises types according to instructions
• Clean weekly and periodically on other areas of the Air Station
• Wash mops and cloths

About you

You are diligent, motivated to provide good service and engaged in the work. We would prefer you to be trained as a service assistant or cleaning technician, but this is not a requirement - you have at least experience in the cleaning field and know the basic cleaning processes.

You speak, read and understand Danish. You must be able to present a clean criminal record.

As a person you are a good colleague, who can participate in an informal tone, communicate with all kinds of people and contribute to the community.

You are service-minded and able to handle varying workloads, you are good at seeing your day through and keeping motivation up, even when it is busy.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the currently applicable Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Government Sector (OAO-S Common Agreement) and the Agreement for cleaning assistants, sanitation workers, skilled workers and certain vocational graduates, etc. in the state, etc. (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating allowances. The position is associated with an employer-financed pension scheme.

The workplace is in Karup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment.

You have as an employee a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.
