About the job

Do you want to lead Salling Group's Responsible Sourcing area and help secure responsible supply chains across our markets? As Responsible Sourcing Manager you will have professional responsibility for the area and people management of three experienced and self-driven employees. You will thus play a central role in strengthening Salling Group's work with responsible supplier chains and translate new requirements and expectations into solutions that work in practice.

The role is a natural next step for you who have solid experience in a similar professional area and want to take on greater managerial responsibility.

You will become part of the Quality team with 11 colleagues and report to Carina Jensen, Head of Quality & Responsible Sourcing.

A role with professional heft and broad reach

Responsible Sourcing is an area in development, where legislation, expectations from the outside world and Salling Group's own ambitions continuously set new requirements for our supply chains. The role spans broadly and includes human rights, working conditions and environmental themes in the supply chain as well as development of processes and initiatives related to due diligence, ESG and CSRD.

You will become an important sparring partner for the business and have a broad collaboration surface. In Denmark you will work closely with among others procurement, our formats as well as ESG, Sustainability and other central departments. Across Salling Group's markets you will simultaneously be a strong professional sparring partner for colleagues who work with Responsible Sourcing in the Baltic states, Germany and Poland.

Externally you will have dialogue with among others NGOs, amfori, Etisk Handel Danmark, Dansk Erhverv and other relevant organizations. The role requires you to build strong relationships and collaborate across functions, areas of expertise and countries.

As a leader you will have three experienced employees who work independently and have strong expertise. Your task will therefore be to set direction, prioritise and create the right framework for the team. You must give space to the employees' professionalism and at the same time be close enough to challenge, spar and make decisions when necessary.

Your main tasks

  • Set the professional direction and prioritise Responsible Sourcing area initiatives in Denmark
  • Drive the implementation of EUDR, which comes into effect on 30 December 2026 and further develop Salling Group's due diligence practices including
  • Develop standards, requirements and initiatives related to selected raw materials, natural resources and high-risk areas in the supply chain
  • Translate new legislation and external requirements related to responsible sourcing, due diligence and sustainability into concrete solutions in the organisation
  • Ensure compliance with Salling Group's ethical and social guidelines
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes related to ESG and CSRD, including relevant environmental and social topics in the value chain
  • Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues within Responsible Sourcing across markets
  • Create a strong collaboration with procurement, formats, markets and central functions
  • Manage dialogue with NGOs, member organizations and other relevant external stakeholders

Who are you?

You have solid experience from a similar role and a strong professional understanding of Responsible Sourcing, due diligence and sustainability-related issues in global supply chains.

You are used to working at the intersection of regulation, business and practice and can make complex requirements understandable and actionable for the organisation. At the same time you have a holistic view and can assess where efforts create the greatest value and impact.

You do not necessarily need to have had formal people management before. The most important is that you are motivated to lead and want to take responsibility for both people and professional direction.

We also place emphasis on you

  • can navigate complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical implementation
  • are comfortable making decisions and driving dialogues across the organisation and with external partners
  • can balance compliance requirements, sustainability ambitions and commercial considerations
  • deliver results through strong relationships and constructive collaboration
  • thrive in a field characterized by new requirements, high expectations and ongoing changes
  • work in a structured and autonomous way
  • have strong analytical skills and can translate data, risk assessments and evidence into clear recommendations
  • communicate professionally in both Danish and English
