Then it may be you we are seeking as a resource educator in BFO Fritter Fri.

In Fritter Fri we are strong in our core task

We create environments where children can form, thrive and develop in communities in a safe setting.

As a resource educator you will have a special role precisely in that task. You will help create opportunities for participation for children who, for periods or more persistently, need extra educational support, and you will be able to bring your professional expertise to bear both around the individual child and around the communities and environments of which the child is a part.

Your main tasks

As a resource educator you have a special task around children who need extra educational support in their school and after-school life.

You have an eye for the individual child and start from the premise that all children do their best. It is our task as professionals to create the frameworks and structures that give the children the opportunity to succeed, learn and develop.

At the same time, we have a strong focus on communities, because all children have the right to be part of a community that is meaningful to them.

We are therefore not only concerned with the child, but also with the communities, demands, structures and adult positions the child encounters.

As a resource educator you should, among other things

• Create structure, predictability and good participation opportunities for children with special needs
• Support children with socio-emotional challenges
• Work relationally with both the individual child and the group of children
• Contribute with pedagogical perspectives and actions in the interdisciplinary collaboration
• Help develop inclusive learning and after-school environments
• Create coherence between school, recess and BFO
• Be able to adjust your own and shared practice when a child struggles to succeed.
• Keep an eye on which learning environments you will co-create in the afternoon at BFO.

You work closely with teachers and pedagogues to understand the child’s needs and create the frameworks that make it possible for the child to participate, develop and experience themselves as a meaningful part of the community.

PUF – pedagogical support during breaks

As part of your school assignment you also participate in PUF – pedagogical support during breaks.

In PUF we actively use our pedagogical expertise in the children’s break times. We work to create good play and participation opportunities, support relationships and communities and help children who may find it difficult to enter play on their own.

The pedagogical work during breaks helps create better conditions for well-being, belonging and for the teaching the children return to afterwards.

Your competencies

We are looking for an educator who

• Has a pedagogical education
• Has experience with – or strong interest in – working as a resource educator
• Has a strong professional focus on children with socio-emotional or other special needs
• Can assume the child’s perspective and fundamentally believes that all children can succeed given the prerequisites they have
• Is strong in relationship work and can create good relationships both with and between the children
• Has an eye for both the individual child and the communities the child should be able to participate in
• Can contribute to inclusive communities, where also children from the group arrangement experience participation opportunities and a sense of belonging.

What you get with us

In Fritter Fri you will become part of a BFO with about 120 lovely children – both district children and children from the group arrangement.

You will be part of a strong and engaged team of 10 staff with diverse experiences and competencies. We are also a practical training institution and place emphasis on professional reflection, development and learning in everyday life.

We are focused on our core task and on continuously developing our pedagogical practice. This means that we talk about what we do, are curious about each other’s perspectives and dare to adjust our practice when the children call for something else.

Fritter Fri is located on the Baltorpskolen campus, where we have our own premises and outdoor area.

WHO ARE WE

• Baltorpskolens Leisure Scheme is part of the school's overall organization. We work closely together to create coherence in the children’s everyday life.
• As a resource educator you have hours in the lower school and at the BFO. Working hours are between 06:30 and 16:45 Monday to Thursday and between 06:30 and 16:30 Friday.
• Our pedagogical approach is based on Low Arousal, Empathy and BAL – Ballerup’s Analysis of the Learning Environment.

Hiring process and pay

Employment is from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

We hold interviews as we receive applications and up to week 48.

The position is, in principle, a permanent role of 37 hours per week.

Application deadline: November 20, 2026.

We offer pay and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogical staff in day care institutions, clubs and after-school care in municipalities. Employment is based on principles of local pay formation and in agreement with the representative negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is DKK 35,450.82 – 41,545.16 per month before pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiation between the employer and the trade organization authorized to negotiate within the relevant collective agreement area. Salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
