Safety & Continuous Improvement Specialist for Afinitas

Would you like to help create a safer and more efficient production, where good workflows and continuous improvements are a natural part of everyday life? On behalf of Afinitas, MatchMind is seeking a Safety & Continuous Improvement Specialist who combines practical production understanding with a structured and innovative approach to occupational safety, health and optimization.

You will play a central role in strengthening the safety culture and developing the production processes. This is a position for someone who thrives close to production and can translate data, observations and ideas into concrete results.

A cross-functional role with a focus on safety and improvements You will be responsible for coordinating and driving safety, occupational health and Continuous Improvement across production. Here you will collaborate with managers and employees in areas such as assembly, machining, welding and material handling.

You will become an important professional sparring partner who creates structure and momentum in improvement work. The role has no personnel responsibility, and your success therefore depends on your ability to engage others and ensure that initiatives are translated into action.

You report to the plant manager and work closely with production, engineering, quality and other functions.

Your main tasks will be

• Coordinate occupational health and safety work, including risk assessments, safety walkthroughs and follow-up on incidents.
• Identify and drive improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, quality, productivity and flow.
• Use data and KPIs to prioritize efforts, monitor progress and document results.
• Support the use of Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen and standardized work.
• Collaborate with managers and employees on problem solving, safe behavior and implementation of improvements.

A structured and development-oriented specialist with production understanding You have experience from a manufacturing company and have worked with occupational safety, safety, Lean or production optimization. You do not need to have held a similar role before, but you have a good understanding of production processes and experience in implementing improvements in practice.

Your educational background may be technical, production-related or occupational health-related, but relevant practical experience can be just as valuable.

You naturally work with data and KPIs and have an analytical approach to identifying root causes, assessing risks and finding solutions. You are curious, enjoy challenging existing workflows and have a sense of how production can be developed.

As a person you are visible and approachable, communicate clearly and are able to build followership across the organisation. You work in a structured manner, follow your initiatives through to the end and have a pragmatic approach to the challenges that arise in a busy production.

You can communicate in English and are comfortable using the language in a work context.
