About the job
Do you want to help ensure that the soldiers have the armored vehicles they need to accomplish their tasks? Do you have the experience required to ensure system integration on the Defence's vehicles?
If you want to help ensure that the Armed Forces have the weapon systems they need, then this position is for you.
About us
In the Weapons Section we are 11 employees, both military and civilian. The section consists of four operations-responsible case handlers, five system-responsible case handlers as well as a deputy commander and a chief. The operations-responsible have the operational responsibility for the section's weapon systems and support the system-responsible case handlers within the respective systems.
We procure handheld weapons and vehicle-integrated weapon systems. We also ensure that there is the right basis for operation of the weapon systems, and we perform FMI's part of the operation. The systems we are responsible for are developed continuously and thus ensure that the soldiers always have the best possible equipment. When we need new equipment, we also take care of disposing of the old. In this way the Weapons Section is responsible for the Defence's weapon systems from cradle to grave.
It is a big responsibility, which we are proud to lift. Our goal is that the Defence and the soldiers at any time have the best possible weapon systems to solve the task.
About the position
You will become the operations responsible for armored wheeled vehicles, including responsibility for the vehicle integration of various systems. You will gain a broad contact surface in FMI, the Defence and with the suppliers so that you can ensure that the vehicle integration of the systems is considered already from the procurement phase.
Your focus will be integration and operation of the systems. You ensure that the operational need is covered by the systems being technically, mechanically and in terms of maintenance as they should be. In other words – you help ensure that everything goes smoothly so that the Defence has the weapon systems they need to use.
Based on your work with operations you will develop and maintain the technical documentation for the weapons, which you also ensure is available to users. You also contribute to the ongoing operational optimization, as well as technical and financial analyses within your weapon systems. When complaints or special incidents arise, you contribute to the section's case handling of them, and provide input to our solution and response.
In the position you also
- Coordinate the operation of the vehicles with users, workshops and capacity controllers, so they have the necessary spare parts and accessories for the operation of the systems.
- Support the system-responsible when weapons need to be procured and disposed of, where you are the operations-responsible.
- Preparation of plans for the weapon system's technical development in the short and long term in collaboration with the system-responsible.
Maintain data in the maintenance module in DeMars, and use your experience to support the section's other employees in the area.
You will undertake a fair amount of travel activity in Denmark when you coordinate integration and operation with users and workshops etc. You will also have travel activity abroad when coordinating with suppliers and users in other countries.
About you
You have a relevant education that qualifies you to be a case handler in FMI. In addition, it is crucial that you have in-depth experience with system integration on operational vehicles. You are experienced, and you possess extensive knowledge of weapons and weapon systems. You have built up a solid understanding of the defence and the maintenance and operations structures behind successful implementation and operation of materiel. You must have experience using DeMars.
You can work independently on your tasks in close collaboration with colleagues, management and partners, and you know how important relationships and networks are for a good working environment and not least good solutions. You are capable of independently coordinating complex implementation, integration and operations tasks.
Terms of employment
The employment is governed by the applicable Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions and CO10 – Central Organisation of 2010 and the Agreement between the Ministry of Defence’s Personnel Agency and CO10 and Central Association for Stamp Personnel for Civilians employed under the Defence Ministry’s authority within the Central Association for Stamp Personnel area (formerly the Defence Civil Service).
Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiation of supplements. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.
The workplace is in Ballerup
As an employee under the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.
