About us

Sct. Jacobi School and Day Care has about 280 pupils from 0th to 10th grade and around 140 devoted staff. The organization is divided across three sites: Pramstedvej and Laboratorievej in Varde, and a department in Tistrup. The Solsikken special kindergarten is also part of the organization, which together covers the special needs area in Varde Municipality.

We believe that all children have superpowers. Therefore we do not see the child as their diagnosis or difficulty, but as a person with unique strengths, resources and development opportunities.

Action creates transformation

Our work is based on a systemic and resource-oriented view of children. We work purposefully with structure, predictability and visual support systems that create overview and security for the children.

We believe that well-being, participation and relationships are the foundation for development. Therefore, we work every day to create meaningful learning and development communities where children experience mastery and success.

In collaboration with parents and external partners we create the framework for a good childhood and youth life. With us, adults take responsibility for challenges and think creatively and solution-oriented.
