Do you want to set the standard for compliance and information security on an IT platform that will support the operation of Denmark's electricity and gas system?

Energinet is building a new, component-based IT platform from the ground up. The platform must support more than 100 applications in the OT domain and back an energy system where electricity consumption is expected to double by 2030, and where the production of solar and wind energy almost triples. There is no equivalent platform in Denmark, and there is therefore no ready-made template for how compliance should look on it.

This is the task you will be given. We are seeking a technically strong Senior Compliance Specialist who can translate legislation, standards, and security requirements into concrete demands that the platform can be built to.

You set the standard – not just maintain it

You will become part of OT Platform under Digital Platforms, where we operate, develop, and secure critical OT solutions. The platform is based on zero trust, cloud-native technologies, and DevSecOps.

You will join a team of three with compliance and information security as your area, and you will report to our Agile People Leader Compliance and Security. A lawyer is attached to the area, and the actual auditing is performed by others – your task begins where the requirements must be translated into something the technology can build after.

Your tasks

• Translate requirements from legislation, standards, and security principles into concrete, functional requirements for the platform and the applications it must carry
• Prepare, maintain, and update policies, procedures, and work instructions in an area where they do not already exist
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across compliance, architecture, development, and operations and ensure that decisions are made
• Support technical teams in developing workflows and documentation
• Collaborate closely with OT Operational Support on the development and improvement of processes
• Ensure documented traceability from legislation and standards to implemented controls
• Maintain and further develop the Statement of Applicability (SoA) – both at a high level and domain-specific
• Follow up on the status and compliance with compliance requirements and support the implementation of policies and controls
• Prepare and support audits and reviews and ensure the necessary documentation
• Report on status and progress of ISMS to the management in Digital Platforms and contribute to the ongoing maturity of ISMS

You bridge compliance and engineering

You have solid experience with compliance and information security from complex or regulated environments, and you thrive at the intersection of compliance, business, and technical environments. You work in a structured way and have an eye for documentation, quality, and traceability.

Equally important is that you are curious. The area is new, and a large part of the answers does not exist in advance. You must be willing to explore how things actually fit together – and have the courage to challenge solutions and practices when they do not align with what is required for critical infrastructure. You do not have formal authority over the teams you demand things from, so influence must be built technically.

In addition, we would like you to

• Have worked with relevant standards and frameworks, for example ISO 27001 and IEC 62443
• Have experience with ISMS
• Either have a technical background or the curiosity and interest in technology so you can “build bridges” between compliance and the technical world

You are not a classic “compliance-only” profile. You understand the technical contexts and translate compliance requirements into practical solutions.
