Primary tasks

We are seeking both a Senior Mechanical Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer. In both roles you will work with customer-tailored mechanical solutions in complex technical projects. You follow tasks from the initial technical clarifications through design and documentation and onward to the final solution. Your primary tasks will include:

• Design, dimension, and document mechanical systems and installations, including the propulsion line and related auxiliary systems.
• Work on system integration and manage technical interfaces between the engine, gears, shaft system and other mechanical systems and components on board.
• Carry out technical calculations, component selection and verification of solutions.
• Produce and quality-assure drawings, specifications and other technical documentation.
• Resolve technical issues in close collaboration with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other partners.
• Contribute to development, standardization and ongoing improvement of technical solutions and working methods.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will have greater independent technical responsibility and become a professional sparring partner for the team. You must be able to see the overall solution, make technical decisions and take ownership of more complex issues.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for your own tasks and sub-projects, while having the opportunity to develop your broader system understanding through sparring with experienced colleagues.

Your qualifications

We are open to different technical backgrounds, but you as a starting point have a relevant education such as e.g. mechanical engineer, naval architect, or equivalent. It is a clear advantage if you come with experience from the marine industry , as understanding of ship installations, system integration and the particular requirements in maritime projects will make you quickly familiar with the tasks. We expect that you:

• Have experience with design, sizing and documentation of mechanical systems and installations.
• Have good systems understanding and be able to see the relationships between components, systems and installations.
• Have experience with technical calculations, component selection and verification of solutions.
• Work in a structured manner and take responsibility for own tasks.
• Thrive in a cross-disciplinary environment and actively use sparring.
• Communicate confidently in Danish and English.
• Preferably have experience from marine, offshore or other heavy technical industries.
• Preferably have knowledge of vibrations, structural noise, FEM/FEA or related areas.

For the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer we also expect that you have broad technical experience, can take ownership of complex issues and function naturally as a professional sparring partner for others. Typically you will have around 7-10 years of relevant experience.

For the role of Mechanical Engineer you may have fewer years of experience. Here we especially value a strong technical foundation, curiosity and potential to develop a broader system understanding over time.
