Service Assistant for Center for Rehabilitation and Prevention, Gentofte Municipality

The Service Department is looking for a staff member for our service assistant team with weekend shifts. Your area of work will include various functions in the kitchen.

At the Center for Rehabilitation and Prevention we receive citizens who are in a rehabilitation or respite care program. The center has 6 departments with a total of 83 beds. The Service Department comprises about 50 employees distributed in the following teams: Kitchen, Cleaning and Porter. We focus on a good working environment and place great emphasis on well-being at the workplace. You will have the opportunity to be trained in other service functions such as cleaning, if you wish for more shifts.

You will, as a service assistant, help make a difference in everyday life for the citizens by preparing meals, etc., in the main kitchen. You will have a fixed work weekend every 4 weeks with the possibility of more shifts, and you will be able to swap shifts with your colleagues. The position as a service assistant is part-time. We are a center that is open year-round, and therefore you must be prepared for shifts that may fall on a holiday.

Your tasks will include, for example

Spreading open-faced sandwiches, baking bake-off items and preparing snacks and dietary meals. Transport of food and service trolleys. Washing up and cleaning as well as waste handling. The kitchen working hours are 06:30 to 14:00 on weekdays and weekends.
