Ship electrician

Ship Electrician – Go Nordic Cruiseline Go Nordic Cruiseline is seeking a passionate and results-oriented ship electrician for our route between Copenhagen and Oslo.

We offer a unique opportunity to play a key role on one of our ships sailing on the iconic route, where you will work with hundreds of colleagues and join the technical team.

About the position

As a ship electrician you will join a technical team aboard, where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of tasks and have direct influence on our technical strategies and decision-making processes. You will be able to spar with the engineers on board on electrical-technical matters. You will have an exciting everyday life with everything from standard electrical service tasks to work on equipment in the engine room.

Your primary responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of elevators
• Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Maintenance of main motors and auxiliary motors
• Working with PLC and VLT systems
• Collaboration with the ship's engineers on electrical-technical matters

Who are you?

We are looking for a self-driven candidate with experience in electrical systems. You should be able to bring structure and work independently with a wide range of tasks. You are analytically strong, have good communication skills and thrive on working closely with colleagues on board. Specifically, we are looking for a person who:

• Has experience with maintenance and repair of electrical systems
• Is skilled at troubleshooting and problem solving
• Has knowledge of PLC and VLT systems
• Can collaborate effectively with the ship's engineers and other technical colleagues
• Must be able to speak one of the Scandinavian languages and English

A prerequisite to being considered for employment is that you possess and/or can obtain the following certificates:

• Journeyman certificate as electrician/electronic technician/automation technician
• Medical certificate for seafarers (can be arranged when an employment is agreed)
• Seaman's book (must be applied for when employment is agreed)
• Basic Safety Courses (can be arranged after the employment)
